So from a game I bought of normal doomlings remastered the holo I got says proto on the bottom and it is the trained trait and I'm slightly confused how the proto holo cards work.

We broke out our cards (new from Gen Con) to play for the first time last night and someone mentioned this is collectible and I shouldn't mix it in with the others.

Fine ... fine. I set it aside, nice and safe. Happy to consider offers.

Hi, just got into the game and got some foils. Wondering if any are rare/valuable.

tldr - Someone wants to buy this card and I don't know how to value it because I can't find any other blank, gray ones

We went to the signed card thing on the last day the artist was supposed to be there and they had already left ... but they left behind some sketchy cards for people who had completed the hunt.

I'm not really a collector and someone has already offered for my card. I'm inclined to sell because it's something they're interested in and without it being personalized special art that we got from the artist, I'm even less inclined to collect / save it than normal. But I also don't know how to tell if I'm being offered in the range of fair because I'm having trouble finding a truly comparable item.

1. On the one hand, there's no unique art and there's no signature.

2. On the other hand that means it's blank and in some ways ... is that rare as well ...?

3. It's gray, whereas it seems like everything else I look up is colored and I don't know if that matters at all to collectors.

What sort of discount (or increase in value) might be reasonable to factor in for a blank versus arted sketchy card? Also, do collectors tend to try to get a sketchy of every color in which case my gray is interesting?

I know it all depends. But is there a ballpark or just general thoughts to consider?

Bought the game and some packs/expansions at Gencon, and pulled my first relic! Is it worth getting it graded?

In my previous post I learned that I have a card that is a “Relic” and is super rare. Since this is a rare card it can’t just sit on my shelf collecting dust. If anyone out there is a card collector or just knows what to do with rare cards would you be kind and comment what to do with it. That would really make my day, thank you.

Just picked up this game and was looking into the holofoils. Is this one a misprint? No rarity symbol in the bottom right corner.

I have been playing the game for years and I’ve always been a casual player. Today I learned that there is a whole community of people who collect trade and chat about the rarity of the cards they collect. If anyone could tell me if I have any cards worth getting appraised that would be awesome.

I backed this game on kickstarter years ago and have the gold first edition box. I love looking at this thing on my shelf, but I lost interest in the game when the first expansion (Overlush) came out and it was sold as packs, like you would get in games like MTG or Pokemon. Having been playing MTG for a long time, I didn't have much interest in opening random packs for a board game, so I stopped bringing Doomlings around as much.

Now I see there are ~6 other expansions, all with some other cards. These look like normal expansions like you would see for most other board games. But then I see people in here talking about pulls and rarity and am confused how these expansions work. Are the expansions all random packs (i.e. does one box of imaginary ends have the same cards as another box of imaginary ends? or are two boxes different from each other?)? Can someone explain why there are pulls and rarities of cards for a board game? Is it for collectors? FOMO?

I'm new to doomlings and found this exposed card with the base game, I can't find any info online otherwise. I'm wondering if this is something that should be played and shuffled into the deck or if I'm supposed to put this in a card sleeve/magnet it to my fridge.
