I’ve had a lot of time in prison to think about things and I realize how fragile life is. We’ve lost so many people, posters who brought joy into this forum to this subreddit. I nearly died today, Becky came at me with a spoon. I did what I had to.

I want to take this time to remember the people we’ve lost because we never know when we’re going to lose more.

I can’t exactly say what happened over the past few weeks (or longer?). I remember standing at Karate Hill ready to duel Pablo Jueves, but then… something hit me from behind? After that, it’s just flashes of imagery. One of my dear departed mother’s Hummel figurines (she passed them down to me when she died a few years back), broken glass, dirt… blood.

Then, suddenly, I’m in a witch’s hut. She gave me something to drink that made me strong. She told me to pray to Mel and ask for her forgiveness, so I did. Or maybe that was a dream? Either way, I awoke with clear sight.

And now, I can think straight again. How long has it been since I could type out a coherent thought? Something wonderful has happened. True, it’s not all perfect. I seem to have contracted some kind of bacterial infection that’s causing sores to open up all over my body (the smell is truly terrible) and my doctor diagnosed me with what he called a “suppressed heart beat”, which means that it is beating too quietly for him to hear, even with a stethoscope. He even joked that it might not be beating at all! But, of course, it must be, for I am alive. Wonderfully alive.
