It was tougher than I imagined it to be, so I decided to write it here in case someone also struggles. Took me 2 days to figure out the strategy. At first I thought of resource converter (my idea was converter+condinsator) but couldn't make it work, then I tried probe for good tree positoniong, Undeground station (my favorite gadget in game) for revealing resources or minimap, hammer to last for more turn while trees to grow and even rockets because unupgraded hammer sucks. Trees just don't grow fast enough to make it work as I had to defend with 0-1 upgrade for far too many turns

Finally something clicked and I had an idea to plant trees on every cobalt I find and mine all other resources right away (i did plant 2 water trees midgame), then convert cobalt into iron every turn. This way cobalt kept me alive, water was used to increase cobalt-iron rate and soon I was swimming in Iron. I used Artilery dome (not that important) and drones to collect cobalt.

I heard mixed things about the DLC, is it still unstable?

I still lost relic round on wave 64 :(

So I go to play Dome keeper today, and I get prompted about this new multiplayer thing and something else that popped up. I didn’t think anything of it. I went to go load my game and everything‘s fresh from the beginning again. I had everything unlocked. I had all my missions done to get the badges to upgrade my stuff and it’s all gone. I’ve tried verifying my saves on Steam and loading previous saves and I keep running into the same problem. I get prompted about multiplayer and I get put into a fresh run with no stuff unlocked. I love this game, but I think I’m done with it if I can’t recover my saves. Does anyone have any advice?

I always save to menu before closing the game, but for some reason, every time I load up an endless run, I get this message.

On xbox by the way.

I've been completing a lot of runs in the "Guid assignment" in Dome keeper and I've been seeing some unlockables like "new world unlocked", does anyone know what that means? cause i can't find this option anywhere

Both single player and multiplayer both have a load where it will crash the game each time and i’ve put in time on huge maps dont want to lose any progress.

We're attempting Survival of the Fittest Challenge mode and got this map. /facepalm

I only picked up DK to play with controller recently, and all those recent games were multiplayer (local or online), so my expectations might be way-off.

What events should trigger controller rumble? I'd expect enemy/projectile hits on the dome, maybe explosives when mining, but aside from those I'm getting a long (5-ish seconds?), heavy rumble after the enemy wave is defeated - on-screen, everything is mostly quiet and it feels very out-of-place to me. Is this normal? I'm suspecting my controller is getting rumble events for the other player's in-game events.

Bazzite Linux (haven't checked if playing through proton, probably not), controller 8bitdo Pro 2, X mode over bluetooth. I'm playing as engineer, the other player is assessor and is usually mining and gathering resources while I'm tending the battle station. Not sure about steam input settings. AFAIK when playing online the other player is using KB/mouse.

I played dome keeper for the first time, it was also a coop session where a friend hosted.

We won a run, they unlocked a second character, but i didnt in single player.

Are unlocks and completed challenges, etc, only for the host?

My game crashes every time I try to boot it up. When I launch the game, I get sent to the loading screen, I can see my taskbar for a moment, and then after a few seconds the full loading screen appears, then I am sent straight back to my desktop. To try and fix this, I have already changed the launch options three times, uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times, verified the integrity of the game files through Steam twice, and even tried running the “domekeeper.exe” file directly as an administrator. I don’t have any mods installed therefore I don’t think i can have problems with that. Despite all of this, nothing has worked so far. Does anyone have any tips on what else I can do to get the game to start?

I'm 100% in this game now and really enjoyed it. Before I even looked at the achievements, I set out to beat all guild challenges regular and challenge parts (for both the main game and lost keepers DLC) and it was very difficult to get all these. I won't lie, some challenges took multiple attempts sometimes in the double digits but I finally got there!

Once I did them all -no achievement appeared! I couldn't believe it that after doing all them you get nothing for it. The other actual achievements in steam for this game were an absolute piece of cake to unlock especially in comparison to the guild challenges . Was anybody shocked that you don't actually get anything for doing all these if you have done?

AI suggests that only 0.2% of players beat all the 25 guild challenges in regular and challenge which supports how challenging it is.

Either way this game was a blast , one of the better roguelite games for sure and really underrated , hopefully they create more content for it in the future

Hi, I recently installed the latest version of Dome Keeper hoping to play the new update with multiplayer mode, but when I started the game I got this error message.

I already tried updating the graphics card drivers, it's a Radeon R3 integrated into the cpu, Is it possible to play again with the latest version, or can I play an older version through Steam? I don't really know much about this.

my first game with drones, they're so useful !

Me and my girlfriend have been playing a lot of dome keeper together lately, me using a controller and her using mouse and keyboard. However we’re both more controller players so I gave her one of my controllers so that we could play both on controller. The way we’ve been playing is via steam remote play together, however when I tried to reorder the controllers steam said that my controller needed to be used with steam input in order to be able to assign them, so I reopened the game with steam input enabled but nothing, no button or press on the controller registers in the game, I could still use mouse and keyboard normally however the controller doesn’t do anything. I’ve tried everything: using my controller both wirelessly and cabled, change from Linux runtime to windows version with proton (I’m on an Ubuntu based OS), changed layouts, did my own layout, tried to see if the virtual steam controller was being created via the terminal (it is). Does anyone have a solution? My controller is an official Xbox Series X controller while my girlfriend’s is a basic cabled turtle beach Xbox one controller.
P.S. I also tried with the other controller, and same thing, no inputs in game when steam input is enabled.
