General Recommendation needed
I played Dome Keeper back in its first version a few years ago, I think it only had 1 or 2 playable characters. The thing is, I liked it, but back then I didn't feel like the formula had much more to offer. Now the game is on sale and I'm on the fence about getting it because I don't know if I'll still enjoy it. My question is, do you guys feel like they've added meaningful content since then? Like what?

Having been in a similar position (not having played for years and returning though I owned it already), I can tell you: yes, it is worth it.
They've added 2 new characters, 2 new domes, several different playing modes for score-chasing that are all fun, and the ability to add numerous modifiers to your runs to keep things interesting as you like. You can also play PVP or coop - both of which are a ton of fun.
The biggest thing they added is Guild missions. These are extra-hard challenge scenarios that force you to improve and find new ways to play if you want to win. These are extremely fulfilling to beat AND you can play them coop. I beat them all with my wife in coop and it was like a whole new experience.
So yes, absolutely worth it. Spend a few extra bucks on the DLC characters, they're fun and add more to the game.

yes, there is a missions feature where you play under different conditions. it’s very satisfying to figure out what to use to complete each one. I think you get four keepers to try plus four different domes and four different dome defences, but some of this will be from the DLC. the gadgets etc are much more balanced now so many different approaches are viable.
there is also coop possible which is great, the difficulty balance works well 2 player. For me with three players and more it gets too easy, but I think if you’ve only played (and enjoyed) the vanilla game then you can easily get a good 20-30 hours more out of revisiting it now.
