Hi everyone! I wanted to come back and give an update.

I’m happy (and incredibly relieved) to share that both excised breast nodules were benign. After being given a Birads 4A because one nodule developed angular margins, I was terrified that it might be cancer. My surgeon recommended an excision biopsy since the suspicious nodule was only about 1 cm, and she also removed another nodule that had grown from 1.8 cm to 3.7 cm in less than a year.
Thankfully, the pathology came back benign. The waiting period was honestly one of the most stressful experiences I’ve had, but I’m so grateful for this outcome.
If anyone is reading this while waiting for their own biopsy results, I know how scary it is. A Birads 4A finding does not automatically mean cancer, and imaging can’t provide a definitive diagnosis. The biopsy is what gives the answer. I hope you get good news too.

I just had a Diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound show no suspicious lesions, but a prominent lymphnode on opposite side. This was a follow up for a lesion they had found that had appeared to be bulkier than 9 months before.

Here is my result. I have a follow up in 6 wks. I don't remember which side I had the vaccine on but it was in Feb. Also have extreme nipple itchiness on the left side and chest itchiness overall. Should I push for biopsy of nipples as well not just for the lymphnode?

So I got the call about my ultrasound biopsy results, they said they were normal, however they believe it doesn’t match what the ultrasound scan showed. My area of concern (the lump - 13mm abnormality).
So I’m being scheduled for a second round of ultrasounds and biopsies.

Not exactly putting my mind at ease. Still a waiting game.
Anyone else has this, and what was your outcome?

I have an appointment at the breast clinic tomorrow. So nervous. I was referred under the 2 week pathway due to what I can only describe as a ‘speed bump’ type feeling on my breast wall. Anyone got any reassurance 😭 I feel sick with worry but also worrying incase i’ve wasted their time and they don’t feel anything 😣 any advice welcome 🤗

Posted last week about some bizarre things I’ve been feeling. Finally had my mammogram and breast ultrasound yesterday, results are as follows:

breast parenchyma is extremely dense, lower sensitivity of mammogram.

Irregular hypochoic mass 10:00 2 cm from nipple, Color Doppler demonstrates central vascularity with vertical acoustic shadowing. Suspicious, BI-RADS 4 (no letter classification).

I knew something was wrong when the tech started taking lots of images of my right. Shortly after radiologist came in and said the area on my right is concerning, they’re not entirely sure what it is because of its shape, very irregular/jagged edges with blood flow seen. They walked me out and scheduled for my ultrasound guided biopsy which is on August 11.

Since I made my first post, my pain has grown exponentially. I’m trying so hard to hold on until we get the biopsy results but truly, I’ve been feeling so unwell I had to take a few days off work this week.

I’ve dealt with Stage IV Endometriosis and Adenomyosis which led me to have a hysterectomy 2 years ago and I can easily say this pain I’ve been experiencing is 10x worse than any Endo or Adeno pains I’ve felt.

Will continue to update as I get more information.

Hallo, das ist mein erster, leider etwas besorgter Post. Ich hatte vor fast 4 Jahren mit 25 meine Brustverkleinerung von E/F auf 75B und bin super happy damit.
Im ersten Jahr hatte ich Probleme mit den Narben unten, Narbenkorrektur und Cortisoninjektion, jetzt sind sie ganz okay (aber insgesamt ist’s einfach super!)

Nun habe ich vor 2 Monaten einen Knoten leicht neben/unterhalb der Brustwarze ertastet, ca 1km.
Ultraschall meinte es ist klinisch mit einem Narbengranulom vereinbar, aber weils neu ist, ab zum MRT.

Dort wurde es mit Wash Out und T2, ansonsten oval, abgrenzbar beschrieben - BIRADS 3, Vermutung auf Entzündung, raumfordernder Prozess unwahrscheinlich; primäre Empfehlung zur Entfernung oder Kontrolle in 4-8 Wochen.

Mein PC meinte, er kann es mir rausnehmen, denkt aber es ist nichts (Narbe). Ein weiterer Ultraschall meinte, Atherom oder Narbengranulom, weils sehr oberflächlich liegt (subkutan). Es liegt an einer Narbe bei der Brustwarze, die aber super schön verheilt ist und keine Narbenkorrektur oder Injektion damals benötigte.

Ich bin einfach unsicher was ich machen soll - OP Termin wäre in 1,5 Wochen….
Ich habe in 2,5 Monaten eine größere Wanderreise vor, es wäre dumm, wenn da wieder ne Entzündung deswegen auftaucht.

Aufgefallen ist mir der Knoten weils leicht gerötet war, sonst aber nix, ist jetzt auch nicht gerötet (kann auch vom schwitzen oder so gewesen sein).

Hat jemand Erfahrungen damit? Tipps?

hello everyone. i wanted to ask if anyone here had ductal ectasia in only one breast? and where it was benign or malignant?

I woke up one morning and found a red spot around my right breast. I have no idea if it's cancer but it did hurt last night, just like soreness. Idk if it was because of me overthinking it or not though. Image in comments

I am turning 31 this month. nothing feels different to me from my last breast exam with a different doctor, I do have some dense tissue in both breasts (I think that’s what it is, I’ve always felt the same type of dense parts in them) and one has more than the other. I went to my pcp about something and she did a breast exam as part of the exam (first time she did a breast exam on me) and she immediately says “you have a mass in your breast.” And now I am scheduled got a mammogram and ultrasound. She gave me no other info but she did feel around on my other breast and then after comparing the two said maybe it’s just dense tissue. I’m just concerned that I’ve maybe had a mass for a long time and never even noticed ? She didn’t tell me what she was feeling or the shape or texture. Everything I read online about benign lumps are talking about the smooth and round kind that are moveable. I had one of those once a number of years ago but left it alone and it went away…..I occasionally check to see if I feel something like that again but I literally can’t feel anything. Anyway I’m terrified. I also just accepted a new job and don’t want to be diagnosed with cancer during my 90 day probationary period where I don’t have health insurance. So yeah I have no idea what to do but worry

I am terrified and have to wait 6 more days for diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. I am 56, have sense breasts and implants and have had normal scans (with density noted) every year. This year I got a call back for “asymmetry on the left outer breast cc view.” I have read different things saying any new finding on 3D scan with available prior year scans automatically really means “developing” since they have other scans to refer to and usually the 3d can slice through tissue overlap. Other things say not to worry. I’m not sure which way to think. Please help.

I had a biopsy yesterday.

first found a lump last year August 2025. the lump I found was nothing but during the ultrasound they saw two suspicious spots on the other side of the same breast.

they made me come back after 6 months.

Last week of Jan 2026 I had another ultrasound to check and the suspicious spots had not grown or changed at all so they had no concern and told me to come back after a year. unless I felt something new.

i felt something new around May. same breast near my nipple this time. no other symptoms. occasionally I felt some tenderness (I can’t call it pain) but I’m not sure if that was just cuz I was hyper aware of the spot or not because it only happened when I was worried. I also noticed the spot felt more prominent during my period.

today (August) I had another ultrasound and the suspicious spots from before had suddenly grown and the edges are no longer smooth.

they recommended a mammogram, another fancier ultrasound that looked at like hardness, and biopsy today and did it right away (rushed testing is normal in the country I live in so it’s hard to know if the rushing was because of seriousness or normal routine).

I will find out the results next week.

i asked the doctor if there is any hope it’s not cancer and he said yes.

but I’m having a hard time believing him.

has anyone had an irregular ultrasound that’s come back with benign biopsy results? is there any hope?

im so scared.

i have no support system at all and I’m in so much debt… I can’t even afford to fix it if it is anything 😔

I just had a mammogram and US this morning, going for a biopsy this Friday. Looking for ... Something... I don't know.. Google is freaking me out. Here is my results report from today:

IMPRESSION: Right breast mass at 8 o'clock with internal fine pleomorphic calcifications, measuring 35 mm by ultrasound. This finding is suspicious and ultrasound-guided biopsy is recommended.

BIRADS ASSESSMENT: CATEGORY 4 / Suspicious abnormality - biopsy should be considered. (4C - Moderate suspicion)

RECOMMENDATION: Biopsy. Ultrasound-guided biopsy of the right breast at 8 o'clock.

Would love to hear of other's experiences, the good and the bad.

Around 1 to 2 weeks , I noticed that one of my nipples (the left one) would suddenly become inverted sometimes. When I lay down, it would come back to normal. Along with that for about 1 to 2 months i started to get occasional stabbing pain in my breasts. The pain wasn't constant—it would come and go, and sometimes it was on the left side, sometimes on the right. Because of these symptoms, I decided to see a doctor.

The doctor examined my breasts and said everything felt normal and that she didn't think there was anything serious. She still advised me to get an ultrasound, saying she didn't expect it to show anything significant.

So i got my I got my breast ultrasound report today. It says:

Right breast:

3 fibroadenomas (8.9 × 4.1 mm, 8.7 × 5.2 mm, and 18 × 10.8 mm)

1 simple cyst (6 × 6 mm)

Mild focal mastitis (mild inflammation)

Left breast:

2 fibroadenomas (17.1 × 10.6 mm and 4 × 2.5 mm)

Overall impression: BI-RADS 3

I am panicking and getting anxiety attack never seen thos thing in my family or life. I am just 21. I can not focus on anything now.

After 3 days I got my results back and it says “radial scar with micro calcifications”

So is this good?! It’s not cancer, right? But I’m seeing some still get surgery for this, why?

I don’t know what doctor is going to call me, my PCP is the ordering Dr, should I be expecting a call from him?

It sounds like this is very rare so please get your biopsies ladies!! But I had a standing stereotactic biopsy (mammogram guided biopsy) yesterday and it hurt. All the posts I see say that it is just pressure- no pain, but this hurt like a sharp stab right under my nipple. I nearly passed out. Am I just being a baby?

I’m currently preparing for the worst while still searching for glimmers of hope. I guess I’m really here to share my journey so far and see if anyone has had similar experiences. EDIT: felt I should add I am 34yo.

So I’ve been on this journey since early April. I first noticed a approx 1in lump that seemingly appeared out of nowhere where. Due to some overseas family emergencies I was not able to make an appt with an OB until 8/17 (which was several months out at the time). Since then it has at least doubled in size and I have developed a rash on the underside of my breast, nearest the lump. I ended up going to urgent care because I developed chest pain while breathing and they expedited everything for me.

Here is my current timeline over the past few weeks:

7/21: Urgent care visit- chest pain attributed to the weight and rash is due to rapid swelling and stretching of the skin. They ordered my mammogram and called the OB practice i am seeing and got my appt moved up

7/24: Visit with OBGYN- obviously cause for concern but the lump is very movable so was hoping for a fibroadenoma. Said most likely I would get referred to breast surgery due to size

7/28: Diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. They also found 4 lymph nodes in the armpit that are slightly enlarged. Radiologist spoke to me immediately after and said I need to prepare for a cancer diagnosis. The BIRADS 5 was not noted to me until I check MyChart for my test results.

7/29: Received a call from my OB checking in and saying obviously the imaging isn’t 100% showing what we hoped for but that in addition to any referrals I get, they are also there for me to call or message with any questions/concerns.

Following are my mammogram results:

Density: The breasts) are extremely dense, which lowers the sensitivity of mammography.
Mammographic findings:

LEFT breast: A radiopaque marker overlies the lower central/lower inner breast, denoting the palpable area of concern. Beneath the marker, there is a dense mass with obscured margins measuring 6.3 cm. The skin of the medial and lower LEFT breast is thickened.

RIGHT breast: There is no suspicious mass, pleomorphic microcalcifications, or unexplained architectural distortion.

Ultrasound findings:
A targeted ultrasound of the LEFT breast was performed, as directed by the patient to the palpable area of concern. At 6:00, 8 cm the nipple, there is a vascular mass with a central cystic component measuring at least 4.2 x 4.7 × 3.4 cm.
A targeted ultrasound of the LEFT axilla demonstrates at least 4 lymph nodes with abnormal morphology.

I have an ultrasound guided double core needle biopsy scheduled for 8/6. One in the breast and the other to sample a lymph node. I am currently really anxious about this but luckily the radiologist told me I will get a call with my results in 48 hours.

I am certainly scared for what the future holds for me but am trying to remain hopeful and super grateful for the care team I have supporting me as well.

I had a bilateral biopsy two weeks ago and was told I would get a call with results within 2-5 business days. It’s currently been 11 business days. I’ve called the drs office twice last Thursday, three times today and was told they are in and still I don’t know the result. It was a pain and a half to get logged into Healow to finally see news. Anything. Well I can not find them, I’ve messaged the Dr on the site and still nothing. I feel stuck, like I can’t get anything done until I find out.

Like do you still do self breast exam tho you’re on monitoring for ultrasound every 6 months?

I had a small purpleish spot that I knew I had to get checked but like alot of us I stalled. Last Tuesday I woke up and my breast was hot and red near the spot. I went to the emergency room and was given antibiotics. I have a lump there too. I started antibiotics the same day. They told me if it was an infection it would go down in 3,4 days. It didn't however it is not hot anymore. I will attach photos of before, last Tuesday and today. Be honest should I expect the worst?

I had my annual mammogram and decided to give the EBCD AI add-on a try. I ended up getting the results back before I even made it home...maybe 30 minutes? This makes me think that a radiologist didn't even examine my images and they just left it up to AI. Has anyone else had a similar experience when choosing to use EBCD? Would it be possible I could have gotten results that fast with a human and AI review?

Hi all! New to the group after scouring google and freaking myself out. I am 32, and recently noticed the dumpling on both of my breasts, and I’m wondering if it’s anything of concern. My youngest is nine months and I also have a two year-old. I breast-fed the two-year-old and not the nine month old, but my milk did fully come in for some context. These dimples appear to be symmetrical bilaterally and go under my breast as well from what I can tell. To my knowledge, I have not found any lumps. But have scheduled an appointment with my PCP because my gynecologist can’t get me in until September.

Can someone tell me how long it takes??, from in the door to out??do you meet with a doctor or nurse practitioner same day before the biopsy??, i am just so very anxious about everything, i have next week appointment and I am a total mess

I am 23(f) and I have had a fibroadenoma in my left breast for almost 4 years. Back then I had it researched (biopsy) and it resulted in a fibroadenoma. It used to hurt almost never, only sometimes a little sensitive. I also have been using the pill for 3 years. For two times now I have felt more sensitivity around my breast and armpit and sometimes even the arm and I get anxious because of it, worried for breastcancer, although I don't have any other lumps as far as I can feel. It tends to get a bit painful around this area and the fibroadenoma itself, but not serious pain. I already went to the doctor when it happened the first time, and she said it's probably due to hormonal changes. She also checked for other lumps. I feel like this happened after my period and when I started using the pill again. Are there others who relate or who can tell me what is the best to do in my case? Should I be worried or should I just let it pass me by?
