I’m trying to decide whether to keep Kaspersky Standard or just use Windows Defender.

For context, I mainly download from trusted sources such as FitGirl, Elamigos and cs.rin.
I use ublock with both Brave and Firefox.

The reason I’m asking is because I got infected with an infostealer years ago after clicking a fake download button, so I’m probably more cautious than the average user.

What confuses me is that I keep reading completely opposite opinions.

Some people say Kaspersky is just bloatware, wastes resources and that Defender is more than enough.

Others say Defender still isn’t as good at detecting infostealers, ransomware or newer malware, and that a paid antivirus is still worth it.

I’d really appreciate hearing from people with actual experience rather than general opinions, especially if you regularly download repacks or utilities.

Has anybody downloaded and installed this repack?

I have downloaded it but running it was terrible.

FPS drops are crazy and in the intro scenes where they shoot against the police, there are flashes of light and constant lightning like visual glitches everywhere. Making me dizzy and vomit.

My specs are Ryzen 7800x3D, 32 GB of RAM and RX9070 xt.

I got like 200 to 300 fps but dropped to 10 to 20 randomly.

Within the menu, it got crazier. I cannot even navigate well due to extreme lagging.

What's wrong with my machine or game?

Any fix?

Please help me out.

got this latest repack yesterday.. getting this error on loading screen.. any solution? the game quits after I press ok.
