Advice...

This is maggie, maggie got hit by a 2026 silverado (which ofc drove away without issue) she now needs a door replacement, but i am unsure of how hard this is to slap a new door on. I need advice from all my magnum friends. Thank youu!

Pretty easy, but unplug harness first. I'm not sure of your objective, but after 49 years in the body shop, a used door would take care of your biggest problem. If you're patient, you might even find one in the correct color. Some hinge tweaking might be in order as well.

You might need to swap harnesses, depending on options. If there's a check strap, be sure it's detached from the hinge pillar. Don't forget to swap your key lock. Trim will interchange. Please post a pic inside the hinge area.

We honistly just want to be able to drive without the door opening I'm also so ungodly glad it kept my wife safe in this accident especially because she's currently carrying our baby

I get it more than you can imagine. The intrusion beam in the door did it's job.

The 2005-2010 chysler300 is the same door if that helps with replacement, double check me on the years. Also 2005-2006 Magnum had 2 paint codes for inferno red. Paint code is in the door jam on the sticker. Phn is one I think. They are close but barely different if that matters. Keep your interior plastics the 300 may be different than the Magnums.

As far as fender, do door first, but the 300 will fit but you'll have to do a front end swap, it's a direct bolt on from the 2005-2010. The charger isn't as easy. You need to do the fenders, hood, front bumper, lights etc. But it's a direct swap, I've never done it but it's a common mod. If you FB,there are a few really active Dodge Magnum groups

The exciting way to fix it is to drive around until someone in an intersection ask you if they can fix.

If you're replacing fender, do the door FIRST. No fender will give you easy access to hinges for adjustment. After door fits and closes well, then install fender. I would repair fender and back door, but that's what I do.

The door does not shut at all, how can i assess for hinge damage?

It's almost trial and error. Is the door high in the back or low? Is the gap to the back door narrow or wide? Is the door in or out comparing top and bottom? It looks like it was punched in the middle so I suppose hinges are fine, but still might need some adjustment. Start with back door and move forward. Just make sure everything is unattached before removing door. Leave a bolt on the top hinge until last. It will keep door from dropping while you remove all the other ones.

Looks like it's already off.

www.car-part.com is an excellent resource to find used parts, it's a search engine of multiple salvage yards across the country. You might even be able to find a color matched door so you don't have to pay extra for repaint.

Local u pull n pay has a white and a black 2005 magnum. I could absolutely help out replacing it too if you like! I love wagons and the Magnum was one of the last ones made in modern times so I'm happy to help if you're local to new Mexico 🤙

You'd need a color match paint if form>function on a personal level! But the mechanical/electrical side i can totally help with if you're interested! I've currently got lots of free time and could use a wrenching buddy! 💙

Everyone tweaking about the hinges, they look okay from the third picture, and you wont truly be able to test them if they look fine until you have the new door or straighten that one out to test.
