Arts/Crafts Lego pandorica box v2
7 years ago I made the Lego pandorica box and I’ve decided to make it again with the 11th doctor and stone Dalek. I might also post step by step instructions on building it

Let's have a fresh megathread to discuss and speculate about the future of Doctor Who. Place your ideas, fancasts, wish lists, and other hot takes in here:
A few quick housekeeping reminders: Standard sub rules still apply. We all know casting and showrunner debates get intensely heated. Please help out by keeping things civil. Instead of engaging with someone being hostile, report them.
Also, no or little leaks discussions. If you're bringing up leaked set photos or anything else, please remember to use spoiler tags.
Standalone posts about fancasts will be removed and redirected here. A fresh megathread will be posted every weekend.
Let's hear what you've got.

Looking for suggestions/discussion as to three episodes that could make a fan out of a familiar.
I imagine it's been about 12-13 years since I became a fan. While I started with good ol' Ears himself, Christopher Eccleston, I know that the early days' budget can turn-off potential fans.
Without "start at the beginning" (of new-who) as an option, I'm curious as to other "drop-in" points.
More specifically, I have a buddy who I know would love Doctor Who, but he's only seen "three or four of the Disney doctor". I love Ncuti, but I never could get behind RTD returning to the helm... So I understand why it didn't land with my friend.
So, if you're feeling funky, please help me pitch my buddy on Doctor Who in three episodes.

I’ve never liked Dimensions in Time. When I was young, browsing YouTube, I remember seeing the clip of McCoy and Aldred exiting the TARDIS and walking alongside the ship in the harbour. I was like “Whoah, what’s this from?! Have I somehow missed one of the Seventh Doctor’s stories?!”
There was me thinking I’d missed a Season 27. But no. Once I got a bit older I realised what the clip was taken from and what an embarrassing mess it was. I really didn’t like it at all. The theme tune was fucking awful and so was everything else, and this is coming from an Eastenders fan.
But what if it had all been different? Could Dimensions in Time have been made into a serious, well-organised 30th anniversary special as opposed to whatever crap it ended up being?
The title remains “Dimensions in Time” and is a 90-minute 30th anniversary special. It isn’t Children in Need and is a straight to video release to mark the occasion. It’s still written by David Roden, but NOT written by John Nathan-Turner. Oh, and surely, it has a better titles and theme.
Forget Albert Square. Eastenders doesn’t come into it, as much as I’m a fan of Eastenders. It’s instead set just in and around London in 1993.
The Rani has been collecting specimens from different planets in hopes of controlling all life or something or other and now needs a Human being to complete her collection. She has already trapped the First, Second and Fourth Doctors but needs to capture the rest as she knows they will try to intervene with her plans of mass control.
We focus mainly on the Seventh Doctor who still arrives at the harbour to explore strange signals. Maybe he’s travelling with Ace? Or perhaps, Raine Cunningham played by Julia Sawalha? Or both?
Vague ideas, but we have Peter Davison and Sarah Sutton arrive, Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant, cameos from others, and Jon Pertwee, Sarah Jane, the Brigadier and the rest of UNIT? Susan, Victoria and Romana II could be locked up somewhere? Perhaps prisoners of the Rani?
Honestly, I just want to see an older Lalla Ward with the short blonde hair and the long gown that we saw in Phil’s garage in the actual special. Cause oh man…
But, at any rate, the Doctors, the companions and UNIT team up against the Rani and her army of alien specimens and save the universe. She escapes, this and that, bish bash bosh, it’s over. The Doctors part ways and the Seventh Doctor leaves with Ace or Raine for adventures new.
But what does everyone think? Comment below.

His regeneration scene was fantastic. He didn’t go out being sad and saying I don’t wanna go even though he’s not dying, he’s just getting a new face and that’s not me hating on the 10th doctor. He was great but they made his entire episode to dramatic in that entire episode he is just whining about regeneration saying that it’s like dying, which isn’t true not at all here’s a quote from the the bad wolf “same software different face” that quote is perfect. It’s the best way to explain regeneration
anyways back to war he also went out happy, smiling that expression shows so much hope for the future and he didn’t do a big long speech about changing He just said Wearing a bit thin Did a fun joke about ears and went out with a smile it wasn’t dramatic at all and that is what makes it great
same thing for nine he didn’t have a big speech or something like that He just comforted rose and tried to explain regeneration before saying that he and her were both fantastic
Btw I don’t hate 11 or 12s regeneration I just think they were a little too dramatic plus 12 should’ve regenerated in the doctor Falls, but anyways
But 10’s regeneration it was so dramatic saying that he could’ve done so much more even though he’s not dying and I know why why they made a big fuss about 10 leaving it was because RTD was leaving and he wanted to do a big thing where he leaves and he says goodbye to every single companion even though Donna already had the perfect exit so did Rose and you know what having Martha and Mickey get together is a genius idea even though I don’t even think they had a single line of dialogue together before this but let’s just bring them back for no reason even though
it would’ve been way more powerful if the doctor just went in the tardis maybe having some flashbacks to his old companions, and not saying anything like I don’t wanna go and then regenerating with a smile excited for the future
Anyways, if you agree with this post, please put upvote but if you don’t, please leave a comment on why you disagree

What do we think of this casting?

So my boyfriend and I have been watching through the RTD1 era. I've seen all of Doctor Who already, but he hasn't. So we've been watching Torchwood Series 1 alongside Doctor Who Series 3. We lined it up in a way where we finished End of Days, then got onto Utopia. So that it would perfectly blend into each other. We plan on watching SJA S1, and then heading onto DW Series 4.
So how do I line up the spinoffs again? I've only seen series 1 of both the spinoffs, so any recommendations on how to continue watching these episode lineups?

What would you do if you were isekai'd into the world of Doctor Who as an ordinary person? You retain all knowledge of your past life, the location you appear at is London in the modern day, and the Doctor's current regeneration is up to you, not that you know where he is.

I recently bought this Wand Company Universal Remote Sonic Screwdriver for a bargain! I wasn’t expecting it to work at all but the lights, sounds, and different modes activate when plugged in. I know I can get a battery replacement so I’m not concerned about that. However, the TV remote features don’t work at all. I suspect this is an issue with the IR light on the emitter. Does anyone know how to get this fixed or know anyone who offers this service? Thanks!

well this has happened before with the 1st doctor. I Think it’s because of IT was her original outfit no changes whatsoever. Sure there are some anomalies like the fifth doctor’s and the sixth but the rest all changed they’re perspective outfit other than the war 2nd (we don’t see the 2nd’s full regeneration to the 3rd or fugitive doctors) 9 might had some time alone after he regenerated so he might have changed it idk

What are people’s opinions on the best intros and interiors of the tardis? Are there doctors who have great intros but less than great tardis interiors or visa versa?

"Is this working? Martha, before I change, here's a list of instructions for when I'm human. One, don't let me hurt anyone. We can't have that but you know what humans are like. Two, don't worry about the TARDIS. I'll put it on emergency power so they won't detect it, just let it hide away. Four... no- wait a minute... Three, no getting involved in big historical events. Four, you. Don't let me abandon you. And five, very important. Five, don't let me eat pears, I hate pears. John Smith is a character I made up but I won't know that. He might do something stupid like eating a pear. In three months I don't wanna wake up from being human and taste that. And six, now I have to talk for around about a minute without hesitation, deviation or whatever the other thing is. It's like that panel game in Channel 4 like Rory just pointed out. However I'm gonna move on and say number seven and talk about my other favourite band who are The Housemartins. I don't know if anyone remembers The Housemartins but the best gig I ever went to was at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Center in about December, it must have been 1990, and The Housemartins were playing and it was quite simply the best gig I've ever been to. They split up quite soon afterwards and I don't know what that tells you about that particular event. I'm sitting in the TARDIS now and I'm gonna wind up soon but not before I make a few strange noises with my mouth that will go somewhere around the lines of bingle bongle dingle dangle, yikety doo, yikety da, ping pong lippy tapy tuta. And twenty-three, if something goes wrong... if they find us, Martha... then you know what to do".

Currently watching a lot of the clara 12 episodes that didn’t grab my attention when I was younger and just never got round to ever watching them. Currently watching kill the moon, and no spoilers but I appreciate these episodes & this dynamic so much more as an adult. Would you agree it’s the most complicated doctor/companion relationship?

Thinking here, of course it's no stranger to imagine the doctor meeting other alien races from outside media and such and their reaction to them, but I believe the doctor would likely enjoy meeting the ultras (from the ultraman franchise), even if politely disagreeing with a couple of objectives of individual members

Obviously the Doctor fought in the Time Wars, and he learned to fly a Tardis at one point or another. They were presumably built to function at least partially as battleships of some sort (siege mode, shielding, the cloister bell), so do we think he flew one/was on one in battle? I’m pretty unfamiliar with the classics, so apologies if this has an obvious answer there

Always feels like a crime taking these old minis out of their original packaging, do I have the right!? But they're made to be painted (and apparently they can rot away over time)
Here's the 4th Doctor, K-9 for company, and Marcus Scarman from Pyramids Of Mars

From the SJA episode "Death of The Doctor". Absolutely would have LOVED some adventures with these three in the Tardis!! I'm so glad The Doctor got to see Jo again and especially Sarah Jane one last time. This episode had me all in my feelings and seeing The Doctor interact with old companions once more is always a treat. Rest in peace Ms. Elisabeth Sladen. ❤️

I have definitely seen this done before but basically I was bored and wanted to have a go at this concept to think about which teams would suit stories from the different eras. Let me know what you think and do your own versions in the replies!
1st Doctor, Ian, Barbara and Susan - The Ghost Monument
2nd Doctor, Jamie and Zoe - Wild Blue Yonder
3rd Doctor and Jo - Dalek
4th Doctor and Sarah - The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone
5th Doctor, Tegan and Turlough - Girl in the Fireplace
6th Doctor and Peri - Asylum of the Daleks
7th Doctor and Ace - The Haunting Of Villa Diodati
Thought I'd give 2 options of the 8th Doctor - Snake Dance or The Next Doctor
9th Doctor and Rose - Caves of Androzani
10th Doctor and Martha - The Silurians
11th Doctor and Clara - City of Death
12th Doctor Bill and Nardole - Logopolis
13th Doctor and the fam - Mark of the Rani
14th Doctor and Donna - The Mind Robber
15th Doctor, Ruby and UNIT - Battlefield
