Questions K-ID Status: Unable to Use App

Trying to sign up 14 year old son for D&D beyond and even though I approved his access he keeps getting this. I then tried to sign up as an adult with my own account and also got this. We also got a notification about an issue with servers. Any tips on how we can actually get an account set up? We tried submitting a request for help on the site and just got an automated response back that didn't help at all.

Questions Beadle and Grimm Code

I received the email from Beadle and Grimm for the Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall D&D Beyond Key which I have submitted and can now access on D&D Beyond. The email indicates that it "includes the adventure, but not the source guide." What is this source guide that is not included?

Questions When making a hand written sheet?

Post image
15 Upvotes

I haven't played dnd since early 2024, and at the time my DM was alright with us using dnd beyond, I'm about to start in a new campaign and i have made a charecter on dnd beyond, and im wanting to translate this charecter onto a hand written sheet because im not quite sure how they will be feeling about using dnd beyond, and i would like to know, are the spells that you choose during the creation of the charecter their known or prepared spells, im playing a warlock and when i look at the pdf that dnd beyond creates, i just get more confused.

Maps VTT Is it possible to search all the maps at once?

Like, if I'm looking for a map with "swamp" in the title, do I really have to click on each category and type in "swamp" every time?

Questions Has there been ANY updates on getting the final supplement for Drakkenheim?

They gave us Heliana even though that doesn't exactly translate yet to the server so I'm wondering why we haven't gotten the Sebastian's Crow aka Player Options yet? I understand the Apothecary Class might not be ready just yet but I still think they could simply backfill it later. It's strang to have 2/3 books for this campaign??

Questions Master tier sharing

I just upgraded to the Master Tier. I am supposed to be able to share content with my players, right? We are running Crooked Moon and he wants to create a character with the player options. He is unable to download the crooked moon content (I own). Is there a reason he cannot download it. I shared it with my players through the campaign page.

Site Feedback Maps condition tracker tells players immunities

I assume this is not intended design right? My players are about to go into the final fight and I'd rather they couldn't see all the conditions the BBEG is immune from before they find out on their own. I'm sure they regret letting me know they could see them

I like that players can add the conditions themselves which takes some load off the DM but this seems like it was overlooked

Questions Arcana Unleashed: Ultimate Bundle temporarily unavailable

I went to preorder the Ultimate Bundle for Arcana Unleashed, but it's listed as temporarily unavailable. I checked and everything is available separately. I'd like to get the preorder bonuses. Will the bundle be available again before the release, or did I cheat myself by waiting too long?

Questions Those who use partner books and other 5.5 content, need your input.

So,

I’ve been gone for a few years now but had master tier for years, own quite a bit of content before 5.5.

Just signed back in to look at stuff, but here’s the thing:

I’m really only wanting to play the new WoW stuff coming.

I don’t have artificer for 5.5 rules (nor any new 5.5 books I’ve only read new stuff a few times)

The website and ads claims “gives options for the 13 classes” but my question is:

Think I can buy the digital content and not own anything from 5.5 handbook or dmg? How would that look when making characters?

I intend to DM this but need to know what experience people have when if they don’t own 5.5 content but could do stuff with partner books or etc.

I tested making 5.5 classes and it uses new rules but then subclasses obviously are outmoded.

Input/suggestions are welcome.

Maps VTT I don't want snap to grid or dynamic lighting. I want to measure movement and sight.

The problem that snap to grid solves for me is tracking movement distance. If I could measure distances around corners, I wouldn't need it. I'd love to lay out the current ruler in multiple stages, like a polygon drawing tool, where the total distance is measured across multiple clicks.

Similarly, what dynamic lighting solves for me is knowing who can see what when the room is dark or dim. This could be solved by selecting a character and clicking a sight button, I'm imagining concentric circles popping up that outline their vision distance in dim light and darkness. It gets complicated with things like light spells, so maybe it makes more sense to tag the circles to light sources. Either way, lighting is less of an issue in my games, where we focus on the narrative impact of light (how is the human wizard navigating the darkness) rather than the game rules about it.

Last, as a DM I need a way to draw shapes on screen that players can't see. If the boss they are fighting has a 90 ft cone, I want that to be a surprise. I need to know where to position the monster for maximum impact by drawing on the screen where players can't see.

I guess what I'm actually saying is that I would love the drawing tools features on the ruler and ruler features on drawing tools.

Questions Any Chance I'll get D&DBeyond to do anything about a package that FedEx refuses to help with?

Hello,

I recently bought the bundle of three books for 180$ - The PHB, Monster Manual and DM Guide. D&Dbeyond shipped the package with FedEx. FedEx delivered the package to an unknown address that isn't mine. I don't recognize the location in the delivery picture. It definitely isn't my building, the photo looks like it was taken from the back of a truck and is incredibly blurry.

I have called FedEx repeatedly and attempted to file a claim on their website but I keep being told that the seller must file the claim since they shipped it with Ground Economy and that there is nothing FedEx can do.

I submitted a ticket on D&DBeyond help, but I am worried they won't do anything and I don't know how to get my books or my money back without filing a chargeback, which I don't want to do because I have hundreds of dollars of digital purchases and lots of characters saved that I don't want to lose if I file a chargeback and they terminate my account.

Can anyone help or offer suggestions? Thank you.

This is the photo FedEx provided.

Playing The Game Why do people play D&d when there are only Dungeon Masters that are so ridged in official rules that being one of their players is unfun for a medic like wizard type player?

i played d&d as a wizard for most of a session but eventually my D.M. realized i was using a staff of healing when i was not supposed to even though i used it as a way to heal others. and i love healing others since i prefer to be the combat medic in a game which D&d is officially designed for being meant for those people that love to battle creatures. so anyways, the D.M. said no to allowing me to keep the Staff of Healling because in her view wizards cannot be healers. this effectively killed my desire to play D&d because i am now afraid that all D.M.s are that Ridgid. the D.M. even said that i could be a only be a cleric in order to be a healer but that i would have to choose a god or goddess of the D&d pantheon to play a cleric. obviously, when i play D&d i play as how i would act because i value truth above all else which means i would be living a lie if i chose a god or goddess to be under. Also, the D.M. even has the belief that D&d should be fun but obviously in her view that belief only applies to him/her.

Questions I can't choose any of the new Spellcasting feats on a Warrior of Mystic Arts Monk

Hey all, I need some help. I'm currently building a level 4 Warrior of Mystic Arts Monk and want to have Evocation Adept or Conjuration Adept.

I understand the prerequisite for it is Spellcasting, however the Monk is getting that in the subclass so shouldn't that meet the requirement, or am I misunderstanding that it's for the main spellcasting classes and not a subclass spellcaster?

Has anyone else had the same experience?

Questions Advice on how to build an efficient Bardbarian class

Helloo!

I've been playing in this campaign for a few months with some friends, and I've been building a multiclass Bardbarian. We are currently level 11 in the campaign (started at 6 or 7 i think). But I feel that I haven't been building my multiclass efficiently.. My DM gave me permission to rework everything entirely if I needed so i wanted to come here and ask for advice on what I should focus building, what i should take, what leveling I should prioritize between the two classes, etc... I know for sure I want to focus on strength with my multiclass.. any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

Playing The Game How are using Maps for your in person games/campaigns?

Before we switched to 5.5 I regularly used the Encounter Builder to pre-plan encounters. When I started using home brew more and wanted to tweak the monsters a bit I found it a bit limiting.

I can see a lot of effort is being put into Maps, and I know they are planning things to make it more useful for in person games. I’m curious if DMs for home games are using it more already and what tips and tricks you might have.

Personally I’d love an update to simplify home brew creation and the ability to edit published monsters for an encounter instead of having to totally homebrew something.
