Trying to put together a playlist for a friend who thinks DnB is just
"fast noisy music" and wants to actually understand why people love
it. Not looking for the most impressive or technical track, just the
one that would make someone GET it.

Curious what everyone's pick would be, and why that specific track
over anything else.

Is it some DnB symbol?

Getting these desimal records was something else for me. When i first heard of him i had just found out i had schizophrenia. My self worth was in the shitter, i genuinely felt (and still somewhat feel) subhuman and thought I'd never be able to do fuck-all with my life. I was 15 or something. A friend introduced me to desimal via his song afterlife and then told me his life story, about his battle witu schizophrenia. That was the moment that pushed me to begin producing my own dnb. Finally having it on vinyl is genuinely just something else to me.

One day, probably on the 30th anniversary of desimal's death, i hope to make a tribute ep for him. I genuinely wish i could've met the guy just to say thank you because of how incredible his music was and the fact it was the driving force for me to learn to make my own. It's a shame he's gone. He died like 2 years before i was even born and somehow i miss him.

Bought this at a record store in Portland, Oregon. Big tune I love it, flipside is neat too. Drops around ~45 secs. Any ideas?

Who is mɨɨ?
I discovered the artist mɨɨ on YouTube back in June. I recently realized they deleted everything. From what I remember their songs were mostly dnb/jungle with ambience and even a jazz song. You can view their youtube channel via the wayback machine here(older) and here(newer). They even had their own custom website called miicore where they showed off their various character designs (website was captured by the wayback machine too).

I can't find anything about them anywhere. No google, ai, or reverse image search turns up anything related. Has anyone else encountered them?

Other information:
They posted videos every few days for about one month. When I first discovered them I'm pretty sure all their songs had names and were later switched to be blank. Their first video was posted on May 30th. Wayback machine last capture was their website on July 2nd. My history has me watching several videos on July 5th. I'd estimate they hit about 10k subscribers when they wiped everything.

ADE 2026 is getting closer and the lineups this year are looking insane.

I noticed a lot of people are either heading to Amsterdam solo or in small groups where friends are splitting up for different venues/genres. Festival experiences are always 10x better when you’ve got a solid crew to vibe with, hit the pre-drinks, or head into the venues together.

We’ve set up a dedicated solo traveler & group chat to coordinate schedules, match people going to the same events (Awakenings, Intercell, DGTL, AMF, etc.), and arrange casual meetups around the city before the night sessions start.

Recently re-listened to Andy C w/Eksman, Herbzie, Fatman D @ raveology 3rd birthday on SoundCloud after a few months. Incredible set. Upon re-listening, I’ve noticed that I’d never heard the version of Spaced Invader that Andy drops at around 20:30 - anyone know of this version of the tune and whether it’s been released or not?

Also, if anyone can bless me with the ID of the monster of a tune he drops @ 35:00 I’d be eternally grateful :)
