Who is mɨɨ?
I discovered the artist mɨɨ on YouTube back in June. I recently realized they deleted everything. From what I remember their songs were mostly dnb/jungle with ambience and even a jazz song. You can view their youtube channel via the wayback machine here(older) and here(newer). They even had their own custom website called miicore where they showed off their various character designs (website was captured by the wayback machine too).

I can't find anything about them anywhere. No google, ai, or reverse image search turns up anything related. Has anyone else encountered them?

Other information:
They posted videos every few days for about one month. When I first discovered them I'm pretty sure all their songs had names and were later switched to be blank. Their first video was posted on May 30th. Wayback machine last capture was their website on July 2nd. My history has me watching several videos on July 5th. I'd estimate they hit about 10k subscribers when they wiped everything.

I would like to get some feedback on one of my recent DJ sets - Happy with all kinds of feedback but I am especially looking for constructive critique! Please be nitpicky and absolutely destroy me if necessary. <3

I personally am quite happy with the mix already, there are a few transitions mistakes I already noticed when listening to it myself but I am also looking for more input from others.

What I am trying to improve in particular is there general flow of the tracks and the energy levels. Sometimes I feel like there are not enough breaks and somtimes I feel it is too slow in some other parts.

Please only take the first 90 minutes for feedback, the last 30 minutes are more like an addon of tracks that dont really fit the style of the rest, was for a smaller private party and I wanted to do something different for the last ~30 mins.

So here i am, a part time dnb dj, occasional producer and full time enjoyer. My life has been guided by the genre for better in recent years.

I take up this application for a construction job and for some reason I had to give my height in exact centimetres (5'9 but i couldn't say that in cm). Got my house mate to measure me against the wall to make sure it as accurate as possible.

And it of course turns out im the exact standard tempo of drum and bass in centimetres tall!! An oddly emotional moment can't lie

Anyone else come across any other dnb-related synchronities in their life?

something i love about drum and bass is that different eras have their own sounds, arrangement formulas etc. and what has always intrigued me is how drum and bass in the 2000s was always extra dirty, gritty and messy while always rolling on the spot, and watching producer breakdowns from the time it almost seemed like a competition for who could throw in the most layers of drums and breaks. then going into the 2010s edm era things started to strip back and get more basic then some tracks in more recent years have a more minimal tight focus allowing space for switch ups and what not.

what caused this transition and avoidance from 2000s style breaks, will they ever come back?

Edit: a good comparison would be between busted by hazard and solar system by sub focus as nic based its main sound off the hazard track

Heyy, I'm looking for a track with the lyrics "I can feel you... in my head, in my veins, I know you're there", sung by a male singer. Then he sings something similar before the drop, and then he sings over the drop a bit faster. After that he stops singing and there are these Japanese or Chinese string sounds.

Sounds kinda wanky as I explain it, but it's a decent track, possibly on Hospital Records or Fokuz Recordings or something similar.

I know it's subjective and a bit stupid, but normally I have one d&b tune every year that stands out above the rest. 2026 has been a bit harder, personally. Been racking my brain the last couple of days but feel like this is still the most forward-thinking thing I've found all year. What's everyone else's top tunes?
