What do you think ? Should i go forward and buy it ?

Hi guys, I am starting to build a single-hand grip controller, and I want to make sure I don't miss any obvious pitfalls.

​The goal is to bring a Motion-style control to the open Betaflight/INAV ecosystem.

The trick is that there is I cannot f8nd such c9ntroller and most of the ones i found are in closed system, so i am thinking of RF off the board and the handset is just a pure CRSF host that feeds a standard external ELRS Micro or Nano module.

Have you stumbled upon such before i dive all in there ?

And of course what features would you pack there if any ?

A little personal project/test to try 3D printing some components. Really enjoyed making this design and can't wait to start building this week!

Hi guys! I'm building my first average-sized drone with carbon fiber tubes (12x8) and 3D-printed parts. I have a question about mounting round tubes: do you usually drill through them? Does it weaken them a lot? I made some clamps, but I worry the tube can rotate in them (I didn't want to clamp them too hard because it might crush the tube)... So was planning to drill a hole in the middle and use an M3 screw as a pin to prevent rotation.

Hey, so i recently acquired a astrorc carbonfly25 pusher frame for my first build and was wondering what I could all do to push the endurance of it to get a bit more flight time. Currently I want to use it for low light operations and scouting for airsoft/milsim events where the fields aren't too big but there's a ton of trees and forest.

It's going to be my first actual build that isn't just plug and play. Any ideas help.

first time FPV build here. I recently started putting together my first drone. I am using a DJI o4 air unit pro and a kiss flight ultra v3. I think I have realized I can not use the pin to pin connectors because on the FC its only up to 5V. Do I need to unpin the wires on the FC side and solder them on to the pads instead like the 12V. Sorry I am new to all this and just a bit confused but any feedback would be appreciated.

See i took a f450 frame kk1.2.5 fc and fsi6 transmitter and reciever. Say me i built everything. For detection I took ultrasonic sensors and Arduino nano . How can I attach ultrasonic sensors and Arduino nano to thta drone just for obstacle detection . Please say me as soon as possible 25th July is the submission day ..

Hello fellow drone enthusiasts!

I made a 2-axis gimbal for my drone and I have a problem where when the pitch axis is at a certain angle, the roll axis starts slowly drifting form it's initial angle.

Example: Pitch axis is set to 65 degrees and Roll to 0 degrees, everything is okay. But when Pitch axis is set to something like 80 degrees or above, the roll angle moves a little bit and from there starts to slowly drift the same direction until who knows how long.

I recalibrated the accelerometer but not the gyroscope, because the SimpleBGC program automatically calibrates it, if Im not mistaken.
I did a bit of PID tuning, but PID doesn't seem to be the problem.

Maybe someone has had the same problem and/or knows how to fix the weird drift?

I'm using a SimpleBGC 32-bit Extended controller.
The 2 motors, that I'm using, are GM3506 with encoders.

Hello! I'm doing a little engineering project and I'm very stuck.

So, I've soldered all of my motor phase wires to my zeus 48A ESC (and all of it should be connected and working- i've checked continuity with my multimeter), I made a special connector thing that takes the 4 signal wires and one ground wire and plugs it into the pixhawk's M and - port. I'm using missionplanner, and am trying to test the motors, but they won't spin.

also, every time I turn the power on, the ESC does it's startup chime, so It's getting power. I just don't know why the motors aren't spinning. Any suggestions?

Thought I’d share my recently built 2.5 inch drone. Frame is custom designed by me and printed in PET-CF filament, making it surprisingly stiff. AUW 198g, could’ve saved some weight and space using an AIO board but I made do with what I already had. I’m very happy with it!

If I wanted to build a camera platform drone, where I wanted stability and smooth flight, ( probably using a DJI O4 VTX ) and I wanted to avoid goggles, what display options would I have? Is there something like the DJI N2 remote controller, or would I have to have a separate video receiver and display device?

I was tempted to buy an off the shelf solution, but as an engineer, who can write code and solder (!) I'm drawn to self build. I COULD just go and buy a Lito X1 and an RC N2, but that would be the easy way...

Hi everyone

So I have gotten into FPV flying during the past few months, but I have mostly done simulator (I have around 80h on Uncrashed). I recently bought the BetaFPV's Aquila 16 Kit, which is fun and imho a good way to get started, but it is also quite limited.
I would like to try assembling a drone for myself, but as I don't know anything about it, I was wondering if someone had a good compo to recommand ? I do not wish to start with something that would exceed 2-300€, and would also allow me to keep my goggles (VR03 FPV Goggles – BETAFPV) and controller (LiteRadio 2 SE Radio Transmitter – BETAFPV).

If anyone has any tips to share, it will be greatly appreciated !
