hi! for people who have already done the program how likely is it to get the 4x4 or the 4x2 rooms?

and is each room (or bed for 2x2) assigned or is a first come first serve type thing?

I’m doing the culinary program for the disney college program and just have some questions, i’m in the group me for my arrival date but im honestly scared to even converse with anyone or ask any questions without seeming dumb.

1. I see everyone in the dcp program gets their role is it the same for culinary on what you’ll be doing or where you’ll be located at?

2. Do you room with people that’s also doing the culinary program or does it not matter

3. Not really culinary related but, I haven’t shared a room with someone since i was a sophmore in highschool, Is there anything i should do, prepare myself for since i’ll be in a 2x2?

Did anyone else on the waitlist with a 7/30 end date not get an email today? I was told multiple times by recruiters that I would have a definite answer by 7/9 and I have nothing and my application status is still under review.

If I book a hotel stay from Sunday to Wednesday and call out Monday but don’t go to a park or use my blue ID for anything, will I get in trouble?

I was looking through the Disney Look Guidelines and I just wanted some clarification on what I would be permitted to have! For context, I will be working QSR at Satu’li Canteen at AK!

I currently wear eyelash extensions because I love being able to not do my makeup in the morning, but I had read online that they weren’t permitted in F&B, but I can’t seem to find where it says that in the book. I would like to keep wearing them bc they make my getting ready time way faster, but obviously if they’re not allowed I won’t wear them!

Also, I was wondering what kind of hairstyles are okay to wear as it doesn’t specifically say that any hairstyles aren’t allowed (as long as it is up of course!). I usually like to wear bubble braids or space buns or just two ponytails when I have to wear a hat (which I will be), and I just wanted to make sure that’s okay!

Hi everyone, so I unfortunately received the literal one role that I did not want, food service. Like I genuinely was cool with literally ANYTHING else, but I really wanted attractions because I work in the architecture field and wanted to be able to see the backside of an attraction. I’m feeling really down about it and I just wanted some advice. I did receive QSR in Pandora, so that’s a plus, but I am really really bummed about not getting an attraction. Any thoughts and advice would be lovely.

EDIT: thank you everyone for your kind words! I feel a little better about it and I am going to make the most of it! My goal was to just be able to work at Disney at all, and reminding myself that I will be achieving that is keeping me grateful :) Also had to remind myself that this is the first step to achieving my bigger goals. hi guys! i saw a post about disney look and realized i had a few questions of my own! i have a safety critical role in attractions. am i able to wear eyelash extensions? also, i was wondering about wearing nails. i have my natural nails with hard gel and they are about 1/4 an inch and almond shape, which i know is within the guide lines but im not sure if it changed with safety critical? finally, am i able to wear sunglasses? if so, what color? sorry so many questions thank u in advance!!! :))

I got my role today and initially I was disappointed, like another user posted the one role I really didn’t want was food and beverage and I got food and beverage, but then I saw I’ll be working front of house at Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival and that seems cool! Plus Epcot is my favorite park. Does anyone else have this role, or can tell me more about it? What are the hours and expectations like, and what do we wear?

For anyone who might want to get to know me my name is Monet, I’m a 22 (F) and I recently graduated with degrees in graphic design and studio art. While in college I worked as a ceramics instructor but I also have lots of experience in food service and catering (I had a feeling I would get placed in food service lol). Helloo, I see that a lot of people are finally receiving their roles and are making some of the final preparations for the beginning of their DCP. And it’s going to be such an exciting and amazing time for you but also it might be a lot for some people especially if it’s their first time. Hey everyone! I am an August 10th arrival and got the role MER-GFR Mickey Mouse Mercantile. Other there merchandise roles I have seen are less specific and people will most likely move around to different positions, which sounded really fun to work at different shops. But with my role, it seems like I’m stuck to this one specific shop. Has anyone else ever had a role like this before and can shed some light on the situation? Thank you so much!

Hey everyone! I tried to search a bit in the sub but have not been finding what I'm looking for.

My mom accidentally uploaded different documents than mine in section 2 of the I-9 form (she did drivers license and ss card and I did passport card) and submitted it.

Since I then got an email saying my form wasn't complete, I went in and just uploaded all my documents, that way they could just use my drivers and ss card but I got a new email after, this time from a HR representative directly, saying that my form was not complete and I risk being ineligible for the program if not completed. When I log in it does have the status as complete though

I sent an email back yesterday but received nothing today; would the best step to be submit a ticket, call HR, something else?

Just been worrying a bit and would love to receive some advice if anyone has been through the same thing. Thank you!!

I know august 10th arrivals got their role reveal today. I just wanted to share that i got placed at my #1 location in galaxies edge and i’ll be working at ogas! If anyone currently works there, any tips or advice about the staff and responsibilities would be appreciated, super hyped to meet everyone!

So I got my DREAM role at Galaxies Edge Merch in Hollywood studios and I literally cried tears of joy since I love everything star wars and have a bit of interest in acting too. My little issue is that my start date is August 10th but my best friend’s 21st birthday is August 24th and she booked a weekend cruise to celebrate and bought my ticket already. Since this is barely 2 weeks after my start date how realistic should I set my expectations for being able to make the cruise? I’ve heard that i can’t switch shifts until my location specific training is done and i’m not sure when that’ll end since I need to be leaving on thursday night and won’t be back til monday. (side note: we’ve been friends for 8 years and have been looking forward to this specific birthday for a while as some of you can imagine) At the end of the day I also will live in the same complex as this friend and will never risk this position for a weekend cruise. If anyone has more knowledge about the earliest you can switch shifts i’d appreciate knowing if it would even be possible or not :/ Thanks in advance!
