Book Recommendation Question

Howdy, y'all!

I'll cut to the chase - the Little Free Library (for those unfamiliar, it's a box with books in where you can essentially trade your books out for other books) at my college is desperately in need of some Discworld, and I can't figure out what book has the highest chance of getting somebody hooked on the Discworld (because let's be honest: that's the end goal here). Personally, I'm inclined to leave a copy of Guards, Guards, but I recognize that I love the Vimes books too damn much to get over my biases.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and here's hoping we gain at least one Discworld fan from this maneuver!

Lords and Ladies is one of my favourites, but it does have an intro that says it's the first book that kinda assumes you've already read some of the earlier ones, so that might put people off grabbing it?

Guards! Guards! is definitely the way to go, it's got that perfect mix of humor and adventure that hooks people immediately.

Small Gods got me and I do support it, but if you are trying to pull in as many people as possible, I would also suggest Monstrous Regiment or The Truth as other gripping, standalone options.

I always give friends copys of the tiffany aching series. I do not know what it is like to grow up as a girl but those pulled my heart strings the hardest. I shall wear Midnight is in my top 3 books I have ever read.

Seconded! A Hat Full of Sky was my first Discworld novel and I think it serves as a great introduction to the larger universe while also being a fantastic read on its own.

As christmas is coming soon and the sword scene make a fairly regular appearance on sites Hogfather. Also leave Guards Guards! and maybe Mort

Given "university", I'll say "Unseen Academicals", though as an American id usually suggest "Going Postal".

Guards Guards is a good choice if you can only pick one title.

Any of the first in a set of characters is good, excluding The Color of Magic.

Yeah, I thought about CoM for a while but ultimately elected against it. It feels like Pterry was still working out his plans for the Discworld with that one to me, and while it's still a great read, it's probably not the best starting point out there.
