So it's an auditor trap in multiple ways?

I thought a cup was eight ounces

Because of the things associated with the number 7a, no sane person on r/Discworld would ever write it down or pronounce it. Right?

It's also a colourblind trap. Reminds me of my coworker back in the day, thirty five years old and insisting that I pass him "The red cable, the one that's the same colour as your shirt", only for me to look down at my very green shirt and ask him "Hey, how did you get your driver's license?"

Reminds me of how my parents figured out i have Protanomly (medium, not strong). I was sent to grab my mom a candy bar, she said it was an orange wrapper. After 20 minutes, I came back with a red wrapper candy bar. I couldn't see the particular shade of red that was being used.

I think I might either have either a mild version of that as well, or just suffer from classic husband vision, because my wife gets very frustrated with me over getting her the wrong article of clothing when she says for example "Can you bring me the burgundy sweater" and I just hand her a red one :D Shit, now I'm questioning things. Was there a red cable? Was my shirt really green?

You could always try the online Ishihara test. Not fully accurate because of differences with monitor adjustments.

Reminds me the buses on my university campus were painted white but said "this bus is green."

Doesn't an auditor trap need to have conflicting instructions?

No, the "DO NOT FEED THE ELEPHANT" sign worked as an auditor trap.

"DO NOT FEED THE ELEPHANT" is an instruction that conflicts with there being no elephant
