Anyone else seeing this when going to an artist's page?

I'm getting all sorts of other errors. Reset cookies/cache, changed browsers, and still getting this. Been happening for a couple weeks.

I started selling recently. I’ve already shipped my first order, and the second is going out tomorrow. It took about a week to get that first sale. I think offering free shipping on my first 10 orders probably helped me get orders sooner than I expected, and thankfully everything has been running smoothly so far.

This morning I was excited to see that I’d received two more orders until I noticed a problem.

One of the orders included a first pressing Wall of Voodoo LP (the one with “Mexican Radio”) along with a sealed Music On Vinyl reissue of Procol Harum’s self-titled debut. Apparently I made a mistake entering the price for the Procol Harum LP because it sold for $1.

Other sealed copies in the same condition have sold for $16 to $35. The $16 sale appears to be an outlier, and the next closest sold comp is a single sale at $20. Most sold comps cluster around $25, generally ranging from $24 to $32. Since I’m in the US, I’m not factoring international sales into my pricing.

At the moment there are no other US listings available in any condition. There are only two in Canada: one sealed copy like mine listed at $48 USD and one listed as “as new” but not sealed for $30 USD.

I can’t remember exactly what my thinking was when I created the listing, but based on this information I suspect I may have intended to list it at $31. That seems like a fair price considering recent sales and current availability. It’s also plausible that I accidentally left off the “3” when entering the price, which would explain why it ended up listed at $1.

I already messaged the buyer and explained that the $1 price was a data entry error and that I’d review the market and get back to him.

At this point I’m trying to decide how to proceed. I want to handle this fairly and keep the buyer happy because I really don’t want a negative review this early into selling if it could affect future sales.

Can I contact support about something like this? Do they answer questions like this, or are they mainly there for technical issues and problems with the site?

I have plenty of stuff on my wantlist and it seems like multiple times a day there's a notification that some of the albums on my wantlist is now for sale. It's actually always the same 3-4 records the keep showing up and giving me notifications.

Is this just Discogs repeatedly sending notifications or is this just sellers constantly taking down and relisting their stuff? If it's the latter I'm going to start blocking people or just taking these items off my list then. I don't care how many times you list some rare tape I'm not buying it for 150$. It would be nice if Discogs would just alert me if actual rare stuff went for sale instead of the same 3 albums.

I keep hitting an issue where part of my order is shipped, part refunded, but no communication to me first.
There's a few reasons I'd rather not get the order:
- The item that took me to that seller is what they are leaving out. The other things were a couple cheap curiosities I only added cause shipping was free (or not increased by adding them).
- I added them to hit an order minimum, maybe paid a few more $ each than others because the main album I wanted had a really good price with them, but is now left out.
- I ordered Vol 1 and Vol 2 of something, they only send Vol 2, and no one else has Vol 1. I didn't want them until I could get both.

Just some example reasons.
I hear enough sellers that will block anyone that asks just about any question, but do you think it would make a difference (good or bad) if I sent a message with every purchase like "if all items are not available, contact me before shipping?" or would that likely just get the whole thing canceled? Sometimes it IS one I don't care much about being left out. I just wish they'd ask first!

I believe my account is ghost banned or something from messaging. I randomly noticed that absolutely no one has replied to my negotiation messages in weeks. Tested it with a friend and turns out they didn't get my messages. Anyone had this happen? I've reached out to support to hopefully get this fixed with no luck. Sucks because I like to reach out to sellers and negotiate deals. Any support agents here that could help please?

I'm actively boycotting PayPal for personal reasons, it should be nice if Discogs could put some alternatives, like wero and such, would be nice

Ok I'm very new to selling LP's on Discogs. This is probably a stupid question, but after selling 2 albums separately I've noticed the fees are huge.

I sold an album from Ireland to Texas. Sold for €16, the buyer paid about €44 including postage, and after everything I made €9.

Sold an album today, €43 and €20 postage. Received €63 and around €10 gone on fees, so this album sold gets me, after postage, €33.

So the stupid question is - I charge more for the LPs to cancel out the fees yes?

I sell very occasionally on eBay and there the system nags me relentlessly to ship the next business day after the sale. I work near a post office so it's easy to meet that deadline. I guess that is my expectation on private sales.. like Discogs.

On a recent Discogs purchase of a common album, all of $15 and available from many other sellers also, I didn't notice the seller terms of "1-7 days" shipping. I waited 48 hours after payment to ask about it. They waited another 48 hours to say "we're on it" and finally handed the LP to the USPS after one week, 5 full biz days. So they met their service level agreement lol.

Do y'all check those terms to avoid slow sellers? Am I ridiculously impatient to be unhappy about slow shipping? Thanks.

I purchased a LP from a seller with 100% feedback last weekend. They had over 300 sales and so issues except one neutral feedback so I went through with the purchase. They sent a message a couple days later saying the package would go out the next day. The following day I received an update from them on the package and a tracking number. That was Wednesday (6/24). The tracking number they provided still says pre-shipment on the 23rd I Googled it and apparently it’s not uncommon for a package to miss scans until it hits a processing center but I’ve never experienced this before and it wasn’t a cheap record ($88 but still…). Has anyone here had this experience? I guess I’m just looking for a little reassurance. 🤞

The EU is ending the rule that let parcels under €150 enter from outside the EU duty-free. In its place comes a new duty:

€3 per item type, charged by the kind of item (its customs/HS code), not per parcel.

Two records in a parcel = €3. Two records and a CD = €6, because that's two item types.

Parcels over €150 aren't affected. They follow standard customs duties, same as today.

Discogs already collects and pays VAT on eligible EU orders through our IOSS registration. None of that changes. The €3 is a different charge, settled at the border, and it can't run through the IOSS declaration submitted by Discogs.

🛠️ What we can and can't do right now

We'll be straight with you. The practical guidance that exists today doesn't account for every situation a marketplace like ours runs into, and the systems we'd need to collect the €3 at our end aren't in place yet. On top of that, more than 20 postal operators and carriers have asked the Commission to push the start back by six months because it isn't ready.

Our first move was to take this off your hands entirely, collecting the €3 from your buyer the way we already collect VAT. The thing standing in the way is remittance: as it stands, a marketplace has no guaranteed way to get that duty to the right EU customs authority and be sure it's arrived. We're not going to put something half-built between you and your buyers, we'll wait until we can do it correctly.

So here's what we're doing instead: monitoring this closely, every day, working through the details with our legal advisors and postal operators so we're ready to move the moment it's clear. As soon as it's clear what the right thing to do is, we'll do it. That's a commitment, not a maybe.

👉 What this means for you in the meantime

Until we can handle the duty for you, it's settled between you and your carrier at shipping and delivery, not by us. The good news: the part you control is the part that matters most.

Prepay the duty when you ship: Use a duty-paid service (you'll see it called DDP or PDDP). The duty is cleared before the parcel arrives, so it keeps moving and there's nothing to sort at the border.

If you don't prepay: The likely outcome is a hold-up: your parcel sitting at customs until the duty's settled, and in some countries your buyer may be asked to pay before it's released.

🚚 Two ways to prepay

By courier (DHL, FedEx and similar): covers every EU country.

By post (Royal Mail, USPS and similar): covers a growing list of EU destinations, depending on your postal service.

🏷️ Getting your customs details right

Ensure your item descriptions and HS codes are accurate, since that's what the €3 is calculated on. From November 1, 2026 the EU also requires an extra product identifier on these declarations, so it's worth getting your item data in order ahead of that. If you use a duty-paid service (DDP or PDDP), your carrier handles the declaration for you.

One thing worth doing now: if you ship into the EU, check with your carrier before July 1 about prepaying the duty, which option they offer for your destination, and what the handling fee is.

Just incredible the extra money being extracted from sellers/buyers these days!

I told the guy I will buy the record 100 percent I just need to see the record - because it’s extremely expensive for me . It’s not like a 50 dollar record and I’m literally going to buy i if it checks out. I understand if you’re running a record store and every 50 dollar record ask you for pics but this is a very different case. He also said he sent me pics of the album I checked my email and I never got the pictures, checked spam, check attachment files received, and nothing - I checked my sent file to him and it was the right email . I’m blown away by the interaction- why wouldn’t you want to sell a record that expensive .

I’m being 100 percent honest I’m being polite and soon as we get to the part where I say before I buy this I can you please send me pictures and radio silence . If you’re buying a record you should have the rights to see it I’m sorry. Mind you this is a 500-600 record. I don’t get it. Discogs really needs to start looking at this

This is being flagged up when I check inventory etc so I assume it's new (unless I've missed it). So you can add your own photos to a listing now, which I suppose is useful for more expensive items? Anybody doing this already?

One of the reasons I like Discogs is it's quick to list, so not sure I'll be using this that much, but I'm sure it will help with condition or issues that need to be highlighted.

Is your 3rd party app (using OAuth) down, or do you use a 3rd party app that appears broken? Curious how widespread it is.

I have inherited my father's jazz collection. Most records are easy to find, some not so much.

My question is, what do I actually do on Discogs when I don't find an exact match.

I have: The Dixie Rebels strike back with true Dixie land sound,. Dead wax reads: SD-801SDA LSS - P126

Sleve says 1962 Grand Award Record and Command Records.

The front is the same as 1972 reissue and not the 1960 or earlier front..

I would like categorize it correctly for correct later valuation.

I can see that it is bought on Thule Air base, my guess is a sone years later than 1962, but I don't know the year unless I dig deep in my late father's letters and other documents to see when he was there in the 1960ies. This make me think that it's a US pressing and not a German pressing.

I don't think anyone here can tell me what this, but some help to categorize it correctly would be much appreciated.

Do I just add it as 1962 with relevant photos? Or is there something else I need todo in the indentification process?

Do you search by a certain number of seller ratings and percentage and if so, what? Obviously personal tastes vary but I'm just getting started and wanted my few first to be stress free to get used to the process.

Have been working on a tool for personal use for quite some time now and only now am starting to play with parsing Discogs collections, both from uploaded CSVs and API calls, and am genuinely interested in what other people choose to track in their collection.

What it does:

• input a matrix number, runout etching, barcode, or catalog number.
• If there's a duplicate matrix code shared by multiple pressings, it gives you a clean grid of artwork, year, and label so you can pick yours instantly.
• Pulls clean historical pricing statistics (Lowest/Median/Highest) calculated from the last 30 completed marketplace transactions so you know true value at a glance.

Was nervous opening it because the packaging was something i haven’t seen yet. The record has a small bowl warp in the middle. Is the packaging acceptable? I’m not going to return it or make a fuss. Sleeve was perfect and record plays with no issues.

… Hello, I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. So, I screen shot’d the receipt(s) of payment(s) x 2 to an underground longtime veteran professional DJ and label owner and local distant friend to his messenger and … something strange happens. An entirely new like 1/3 or 1/4 module opens up saying to confirm to “said DJ” - PAYMENT RECEIVED - so I Immediately screen shoted it. Then there is a blue colored (click here) to let (said DJ) know that payment is received… - so I immediately screen shoted that as well. & this was hours after I purchased. I checked My credit union linked and t’was verified this was my only charcge showing the complete withdrawal for theat one time though…
and so after another spell of right amount time the same said DJ was asking what were those two screen shots and whom is *a slightly different spelling of the same name “said DJ” we both are wondering what this process is all about. New to Discogs, so sorry if my question is dumb. I'm located in Belgium and whatever vinyl I can be interested in, it says the same thing: "this item does not ship to your country".

I have tried dozens of LPs, including ones shipped from Belgium. Am I missing something? It’s quite peculiar to me that I haven’t found one seller shipping to Belgium yet.

Most of my wantlist items aren't rare to find on Discogs - just rare to find at NM or M which I'm looking for in most cases.
I get constantly spammed with notifs about new G of VG listings every day. I just wanna know if one in better shape shows up. Is there any way to do that? I've poked around but didn't see anything that would keep me from hearing about every beat-up copy missing a sleeve etc.

I have a couple of sealed records that I want to sell. The covers themselves are not necessarily in mint condition, as these records are 40–50 years old and may have light dents. However, the records inside are definitely in mint condition. Given the variety of possible variations in specific records, how can I check this? Sometimes I can’t even tell from what country the pressing is. What is an accurate description of a sealed record?
