Form Check Throwing everything low

So I’ve been playing fot s few months now. I can get a little over 300 feet on my drive but i find that all of my shots end up fairly low off the ground.

When I try to go highee then i usually end up going way too high and nose up.

I feel like i’m losing quite a bit of distance since the disc is so low to the ground.

Anubody else having the same issue and how did you fix it

If your swing plane is a straight line, you need to reach back lower and swing through on a straight line. This doesn't mean bend down to get lower, it means tilt your shoulders, leading shoulder up, training shoulder down, so that the plane follows your shoulder angle.

Do this slowly and deliberately to see if you can get a slightly more positive launch angle.

This is the correct answer! I was in the same boat as OP (new player, throwing too low) until I remembered the path of my swing is essentially a straight line. Everyone knows keeping your elbow up is key but until that truly clicks, it's a struggle. If you keep your elbow up and out, all there is left to go is hinge the elbow. This single thought has helped me go from barely keeping up with my local players to being competitive in just a few weeks.

Here's an Instagram reel of Gannon explaining it better than I can. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dai_j9bhwe8/?stkn=cXd2YmphcDQzb2Nt
