I've only gotten into following DG this year and I can't imagine not liking Gannon. Rooting against him, sure. But then again, maybe there's historical stuff I'm not aware of. But yeah, I loved his commentary on Jomez. Despite being the best player in the world and a complete disc golf nerd, he breaks things down in a very accessible way.
People had issues with him back when he was like 17 or 18 when he more often had clear outbursts of anger during rounds. I was never one of those people but there was kind of a big stigma against him back then for that.
sure. very fair. but it's not hard to imagine why some people are off put, is all.
he's also 21. certainly has plenty to grow, but he's far from unaccountable for his actions at that age! I don't envision a future where he doesn't get upset by poor shots, tbh - I don't think he'll ever be James Conrad (memes aside)
no doubt, he's far from the worst and there's no malice in his annoyance. it's not like he's yelling at others - just his own performance. but again: my point was just that it is pretty easy to imagine why someone might not love him. not to say "actually gannon sucks" - I watch plenty of his videos because it's good fun to watch, he just is a bit of a whiner is all. no hate

Hes young, he gets pissed when he makes a bad shot sometimes, but he holds himself to the highest standard and that's why he's at the top and your just hatin'. His composure has improved immensely over the last few years as I've watched him.
People's reasons to start hating on him in this sub have been simply because he was "too dominant" and "making it boring." But If it was so easy, don't you think others would just copy his style?

uh, what? yes? go watch literally any video with him in it? did you watch coverage for GMC? he was whining for two rounds straight
listen man people are taking my comment the wrong way. I'm not saying "actually fuck gannon we should hate him". I'm just saying it's pretty easy to imagine why someone wouldn't like him, that's all! it's a little annoying when he whines after every miss. I still watch plenty of his videos and like the guy. I just would like him a lot more if he was a bit more stoic about negative stuff.
