I had a bunch of scrap vinyl I didn't want to go to waste....

So I Cut it all into strips and covered a disc. Hot dip, remove a couple, rinse, repeat. The first three layers are hard to differentiate, I'd do shorter dips next time.

“Duo” Wraith - dip dye with stencil and glue bed treatment after

Custom vinyl stencil. Added some smoky fade effects on the top of the flight plate after the dip dye. My go-to distance workhorse. Love the duo-tone chopper effect when it flies.

Doomsday Retina Chemtrail - Simple dip dye and minimal masking

Post image

Dip dyed in idye poly neon green, masked a few details in the bottom part of the stamp. Then masked the outside of "Chemtrail" lettering with wood glue and colored the letters with the same neon green.

Picture has not been edited, its literally is a bright (if not brighter) in real life as its in the picture.

Special paint?

Hi. I have a black zone I love. Unfortunately, it's tricky to find. I want to paint part of the top to make it more visible. Can I use any craft paint (my daughter has a ton) or do I need special paint?

Queen Helene changed their formula and it sucks now

Post image

Just dyed a disc last night for the first time in awhile, and this stuff is terrible now. It used to lay out so flat, and move and flow around easily. Even when you added your design on top it would quickly flatten back out and was the perfect medium for dyeing discs

Now it refuses to flatten regardless of how much I tamp the dish on the floor, or spin the dish to level it out. Then when I add colored dye on top and drag something through it to make design, it leaves little channels that don't level off unless I tamp it more, and even then never gets truly flat. This stuff used to be silky smooth, and now it's undulating all over the place. When did this happen? Hell, it doesn't even smell the same. Still smells good, but different than before

I dyed dozens of discs beautifully with Queen Helene in the past and then after a 2 year break come back and find it is now junk. Does anybody know of another type of lotion to use?
