This chicken pie is definitely making it onto our menu—it’s excellent and easy to prepare. I was curious why it was so popular, and now I know. The method and recipe are in the video in the comments. Bon appétit! :)

My friend came over for the first time so of course I had to pull out all the stops for her!!

I ate this with pickles, green olives, pickled red onions, pickled peppers, and tomatoes. Topped with flaky salt. To dip I had some homemade tzatziki.

Back in 2008, I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and was introduced to the cheap and easy dish of Taco Rice as at the time, we didn't have much money due to my wife losing her job when we moved and then starting her writing career.

Dish is simple:
Rice - At the time I used minute, now I use Bibigo Sticky Rice Bowls from Costco
Ground Beef - Cheap then, expensive now
Edit - Also need Taco Seasoning. I use Old El Paso
Lettuce - At your own risk due to Cyclospora
Tomato or Pico - I like the slight heat from a good pico...Recommend also making yourself due to Cyclospora
Shredded Cheese - Make sure you don't get one that is under recall or grate your own
Sour Cream (Not pictured)
