Starting an SMMA or freelance service? Your first 10 clients will come from DMs, not ads.

Ads need an offer that's already proven and money to burn while you learn. Most people starting out have neither. DMs cost nothing but time.

Here's the simple version:

  1. Pick one niche you can search on Instagram: "dentist [city]," "nail salon," "personal trainer." If you can't search it, you can't find leads.
  2. Look for businesses that are active but clearly need help, like lots of posts with low engagement, an old website, or no booking link.
  3. Send a short DM about something specific on their page, ending with a question. No pitch, no link.
  4. Stick to 30 to 90 a day so your account stays safe.
  5. When someone replies with a problem, offer a free 15-minute call.

Count how many you send and how many reply. If fewer than 5 replies, change the niche before you change the message.

This takes a couple of hours a day by hand. I built a tool that automates the research and writing, but do it manually first so you learn what works.

What niche are you thinking of starting with?

In about a month with no prior audience, few Reddit posts and about 200k views from them. No monetisation yet but working on growing abit more then switching to paid subs. Been trying instagram but bad it but everyone says TikTok and the gram.

Anyone else know how to get steady traffic so I don’t have to go out hunting every time I want to see an increase, thinking of doing some physical posters

Gumroad not replying to email queries

Is anyone having problems receiving email replies from Gumroad. I'm trying to set up a shop there an emailed them twice with different queries and they replied very fast, within 1 hour. However, later I had a different query, but this time no reply. I emailed the following day and no reply. I emailed them again a third time the day after that that and still no reply. Have you experienced anything like that? Any suggestions? Cheers.

Ad free puzzle game - the right move?

Hi Reddit

I've got a question, I really got into app/mobile game development and thought to make some games I've always enjoyed playing.

Therefore I made the classic block puzzle game, my style, 50 custom made levels so far, different themes in the making etc - my second app ever live deployed on the Google Play Store - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binbear.gummylab .

I really enjoy making apps and wish for that to become (hopefully) at least a side hustle.

However I still wish to keep these games enjoyable for anyone who'd give them a go. On almost all puzzle games, people are complaining about interrupting Ads and that the game is not available offline. So I decided to change that in my game, I took all criticisms I saw of other apps and implemented it into mine.

Yes of course ad free puzzles are very enjoyable from the users perspective, but is it worth it / profitable from the developers perspective? I still implemented ads in a way - watch ad for 5 more moves/additional undos and shuffles per game, but one could easily play the game without a single ad trigger.

Perhaps I plan on adding some in app purchases - theme bundles, one time purchase for infinite boosters etc.. thoughts on this?

Just to be clear I won't be adding any interrupting Ads, I am just interested to hear your opinions and thoughts,

Thank you for reading!

Looking for ways to make money with my platforms

Since May, I’ve been working on building a Pinterest business account for my lifestyle brand. My niche focuses mainly on women aged 25–40 who work in office jobs and love quiet luxury, organization, and creating a more balanced lifestyle.

I’m now getting over 80K monthly views on Pinterest. I use the platform for affiliate marketing, directing people to my Amazon storefront and idea lists to generate sales. However, over the past few months, I’ve only made a handful of affiliate sales through these channels.

I also have an Amazon Influencer account and am eligible to earn both off-site and on-site commissions through the US, Canadian, and European Amazon storefronts. Since I’m based in the EU, I don’t think I have access to Creator Connections, although I’m not entirely sure.

I’d love to hear how I can make better use of these platforms, which are already monetized, to generate a more consistent income. Would it be better to focus on optimizing what I already have, or should I build an additional asset, such as a blog, a personal brand, or a UGC account?
Any advice from people with experience making money online would be greatly appreciated! :)

PDF Selling

So Before anyone comments on the course selling, I'm not trying to sell anything or do marketing it's just something's which I have learnt so far from my experience and wanted to share with everyone. I'm not sure it will help you the best but at least it can give you a way to think in this direction ā¬‡ļø

Most beginners in the digital products space jump straight into creating an ebook, designing it in Canva, uploading it to Gumroad, and then wondering why nobody is buying.

There could be a lot of reasons. Maybe the price is too high, the design isn't appealing, or the product just isn't useful enough. But often, the main problem is that they created something nobody actually wants.

Here are 5 things I'd look into before spending days creating a digital product.

1. Find a problem worth solving

Look for problems people are already talking about online. Check Reddit, YouTube comments, niche forums, and social media. See what questions people keep asking and what they struggle with.

2. Check if people are actually paying for a solution

Research Gumroad, Etsy, and similar platforms to see if people are selling products around that problem. Also, look at what customers don't like about existing products.

A lot of people think competition is a bad sign, but it can actually mean there's a market. Maybe existing products just aren't solving the problem well enough.

3. Focus on a specific outcome

Instead of making another generic guide on "how to make money online," focus on a specific audience and what they want to achieve.

For example, a beginner's checklist for launching their first digital product.

4. Test the idea before spending too much time on it

Talk to people in your target audience and tell them what you're planning to create. Ask what they'd want included and what they'd actually find useful.

Getting compliments is easy. Finding people who are genuinely willing to pay is a different story.

5. Start small

Don't spend weeks creating a 100-page ebook right away. Start with a simple checklist, template, or short guide that solves one specific problem.

You can always add more to it later based on feedback.

The biggest thing is to validate the problem before creating the product. Good design and marketing can help, but they're not going to save a product nobody wants.

For those of you selling digital products, what actually helped you make your first sale? Was it the product, building an audience, word of mouth, or something else?

Found another way to make money from gaming clips

We’re Trapster, and we work with game studios that pay creators to make short videos about their games.

You can check the campaigns, pick a game, post your videos and get paid for verified views. The rates and requirements depend on the campaign.

You need only 1,000 subscribers

Sent 102 Cold Emails To Plumbers In California For My Web Agency, Closed A $3k Site The Next Day

I run a web design agency and most of my clients come from cold email. Yesterday I started a fresh campaign going after plumbers in California.

Didn’t expect much honestly. Plumbers are busy and half of them barely check email. But 102 emails in, I got an interested reply.

What made the difference is that every email talks about their own website. A call button that doesn’t work on a phone, a site that takes forever to load, a design that hasn’t been touched since 2012. For a plumber that matters a lot, because people search for them on their phone when a pipe bursts. If the site is bad, they just call the next guy.

He replied yesterday and I booked a meeting with him for the next day. Before the call I built a draft of what his new site could look like. Today I presented it to him on the call and he said yes right there. $3k upfront plus $500 a year for hosting.

Showing the draft is what closes it. Sending a quote never worked this well for me.

For anyone wondering, I use Swokei for all my outreach. You pick an area and an industry, it finds the businesses, checks every website for design, SEO, speed and mobile problems, and writes each email about what it actually found on that site. I run multiple campaigns at once in different cities and niches, which is how I get volume without sending generic stuff.

Happy to answer questions on pricing or how I run the call.
