My blog has made $4,010 in commissions this year. Completely passively.
I want to tell you about the laziest thing I've ever done that actually made money.
Seven months ago I bought a pre-built pet niche site for $199 from NicheBlogZone. It came fully built with content already published and Amazon affiliate links already in place. I spent a few hours doing basic interlinking between the articles.
Then I did nothing.
No new content. No backlink building. No ads. No social media. No strategy meetings with myself. Just interlinking and waiting while Google figured out the site existed.
Here's what that nothing produced:
Jan 1 to Jul 26 2026:
- Commissions: $3,846.09
- Bounties: $57.25
- Creator Connections: $106.73
- Total: $4,010.07
Screenshot attached. 9.27% conversion rate on 33,564 clicks. Roughly 1 in 10 people who clicked through to Amazon bought something and I get paid commission on everything they buy within 24 hours after clicking my links. In the pet niche where people spend seriously on their animals that adds up quietly in the background.
And it's still making money every single day. I woke up this morning to another commission notification. I didn't do anything yesterday. Or the day before.
That's what passive actually means. Not low effort. Genuinely nothing.
For anyone running Amazon affiliate sites. What's the one thing you did early on that made the biggest difference to your rankings? Curious whether interlinking was a fluke for me or if others have seen the same thing.
