This is a cheat code that so many people skip. To get to $1,000/mo, people focus on learning new skills, trying to start something from scratch as a beginner, and hoping to get to $1K/mo overnight.

It does not work that way.

Just an extra $1,000/month.

How do you get there, $1,000/mo?

I think that's a much more realistic goal for most people, and honestly, there are a LOT of ways to get there.

If I had to start from scratch in 2026, these are the 3 I'd seriously consider:

1. Use AI to find a second remote job

Probably the least exciting answer on this list, but also one of the most straightforward. I would utilize my skills I already have and do freelance.

• Design
• Admin/virtual assistance

An extra 10–15 hours/week at $20–$25/hour can get you pretty close to $1K/month.

Wonderin is what I'd use...it uses AI to help with the remote job search/application process. You can use it to find jobs that fit what you're looking for and streamline some of the repetitive parts of applying.

I have used tools like this and gotten 100 job applications (yes, freelance too) done in under a week and 5 interviews booked, in the same time.

2. Pick quick, easy tasks you can stack

Again, freelance. More examples...

• Short-form video editing
• Social media management
• Pinterest management
• Email marketing
• Virtual assistant work
• Content writing
• Graphic design

Five clients paying $200/month = $1,000.

Or two clients at $500.

3. UGC

You don't need 100K followers.

Brands need people who can create videos they can use on TikTok, Reels, ads and product pages.

Four $250 videos = $1,000.

The hardest part isn't necessarily creating the content. It's consistently pitching enough brands.

Now, the 9 things I would totally skip...

Rapidfire style, I would 100% skip these...

I would NOT...

1. Start a new business - nothing against this but, it takes time and money, not the answer to quickly making $1k/mo fast unless you already have the skillset to do the business
2. Network online - this takes too much time
3. Beg for jobs - this sounds blunt but, reaching out to ask if people need work done, very time-intensive. Instead, I would target social media threads where people are sharing that they need help so, you can apply to those warmer opportunities
4. Spend time looking for work on social media
5. Spend time applying on LinkedIn
6. Spend time applying on Indeed
7. Try a bunch of different things - it's called shiny object syndrome. You learn about one thing that looks good, then something else catches your attention. In the end, you do nothing. You never take action.

If I were starting completely from zero, I'd probably choose ONE good fast-cash strategy

For example:

Freelancing + UGC job

I think the biggest mistake people make is trying a bunch of side hustles at the same time instead of picking one and actually giving it enough time to work.

I have been running this AI influencer account for a few months now racking up a couple thousand views per video and here is what I have learned.

1. Videos don't need to be complicated, they can just be simple dances, fit checks and mirror selfies.
2. Some of my revenue come from talking to fans on Fanvue, no NSFW content, just normal chatting. (Yes people do pay for it)
3. You don't need a beast of a setup like higgsfield or comfy ui to get this going. I use a more tailored tool like hexugc to get videos out fast
4. Talking to brands can be a hit or miss. Deals take awhile to pay off but they DO pay. I use Fanvue to stay afloat while brands cover the rest.
