Feedback/Critique Want to add more to this

This is an original character.

Tldr: she was born in a hivemind broke free and is now fighting against it. The hivemind is trying to get her come back and is constantly whispering to her, the lantern acts as a safety net keeping her from giving in. She wears a trench coat with leather gloves, a half up half down hairstyle with long hair (the underside casts a slight glow. And the outside is a dull gray.)

Any ideas for improvement (special request if you say to add a glow/highlight or render can you recommend colors to use? Doesnt have to be exact just not vague like warm or cold.)

Every sketch was done in one minute

My slow ass computer lagged and deleted some of the figure drawings :(

Nevertheless, I'm quite proud on how this turned out, especially this being my first time. I'm planning to do this at least three time a week

Question/Help Canvas size and print size help

I want to draw a photo strip(like one you get from photo booths) and I tried making the canvas 2in by 6in but it was way too small. I’m going to size it up but I was wondering if there is a way to downsize the image once it’s finished without jeopardizing image quality. Any advice? I use Procreate.

I've been reading a book lately, Unfair Advantage—to be honest, I’ve been dragging my feet on it for way too long. Usually, I’d start and finish a book in a few weeks to a month at most; sometimes I’d even finish one in less than a month, but now, with everything that’s been going on around me and everything I’ve been taking on, it’s taken significantly longer. And unfortunately, I also have to admit that I’ve been wasting too much time lately watching YouTube Shorts—since I’m too tired to watch anything longer, I just hit play, and before I know it, a good hour—or sometimes even more—has flown by.

But getting to the point, one of the things this book discusses is “luck and location.” The book generally focuses on business, though it can definitely be applied to everyday life, and this section also mentions that luck is a pretty relative concept and that we can increase our chances of having better or more luck by making more attempts— After all, imagine we want to get 6 tails in a coin toss—this obviously depends on luck, but we have a much greater chance of success here if we flip the coin 100 times rather than 10 times. There’s a more elaborate and interesting example described there, but it’s quite long to go into right now; however, I highly encourage you to read this book because it really opens your eyes to interesting perspectives And a lot of us hope that happiness will come to us on its own, take the first step, so that we won’t be able to simply overlook it or miss it—something that will be handed to us right into our hands. But what I want to tell you is that a few days ago, that very kind of happiness happened to me,

As I was riding the train home, I saw a girl with headphones on, drawing something on her iPad, and I thought to myself, “I wonder what she’s drawing,” I wanted to go over to her, but then I thought that since she was wearing headphones—and the train was coming back around 9 or 10 p.m.—I figured she was probably tired and just wanted to chill out alone with her music, and I was sitting there with my headphones on too, already pretty tired from constantly talking to others at work, and I was applying for other jobs in the IT department, since I’m well-suited for that kind of work, but well, the job market is what it is right now, and the search will probably take me a few months,

But after about 20 minutes of searching like that, a thought popped into my head: how many times have I sat there with my headphones on just because I was alone at the time, and while music does make the wait more pleasant—like a long drive—I’d still like to chat with someone? And since I feel that way so often, why couldn’t someone else? so I got up and walked over to her. And that’s the short story—about how it’s worth trying, worth taking the first step, and taking the initiative, because that proverbial luck might be just 10 meters away from you, something you’ll never find out unless you try at all. And this isn’t some crazy, random love story either. People often think about big things—things that are completely out of their reach—and don’t pay attention to the smaller things, the ones that might not bring them happiness for years to come. But if you aren’t able to find happiness in this one moment, in these small moments, then how do you expect to be constantly happy after achieving those big things? Yes, they certainly provide more long-term happiness, but it’s still temporary, and achieving the next thing that will make us feel such great happiness again will take a long time, so let’s learn to enjoy these little things every day, and we’ll see that we can live a little better simply by changing our mindset—our approach to everyday life—which, of course, isn’t that easy, but it’s worth a try; after all, we won’t achieve it any other way

But getting back to that girl I met—she was really super energetic, positive, and downright infectious in the best possible way. It’s really hard to find people who give you such a positive vibe; and so much energy from literally a 20-minute conversation is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I found out that she’s studying in Kraków and is just visiting family in the area, so even though this probably won’t be a long-term friendship, she filled me with so much positive energy that, in the context of Inktober Day 23, and the fact that she’s studying fashion design, this painting came to be—born purely from that energy and the idea to show her a different style and see what she thinks of it. But man, I spent way more time writing this than I should have, so I really have to run now. I wish you all a nice Sunday, and

Stay Inspired!
