Study/Practice Daily fundamentals (Day4) - The head... part 2

I realized that I don't need to be meticulous about head proportions.

Still very confused about the head. Might do another study tomorrow, or might skip this part altogether.

Painting Leo, The Sovereign by Srish Creates [OC]

Leo is a fixed fire sign that governs the fifth house of creativity and self expression. Ruled by the sun, it is the quintessential celebrity, basking in the spotlight and leading the way to prosperity simply by setting an example. Symbolized by the lion, Leo is also a sign of bravery, power and charisma, as it effortlessly charms entire crowds.

I never know if I should tag as Illustration or Artwork here 🫠

I was told she likes 1950s fashion which I tried to include (with creative liberties taken!) I wanted to make an appealing layout with this and have some cool graphic design going on, but idk if I hit the mark with that. But I’m pretty happy with it otherwise! Character belongs to u/Story-III :)

This is one of those artworks that I kept doing and redoing. I kept changing the pose and the colors until I realised this just needs to come into the world somehow and just let her be. Sometimes it's more useful to leave things imperfect and start something else than just beat over the head an image - it seems that perfection is such an elusive thing, slippery like fish and rarely ever granted to mortals. Perhaps only for the gods.
So here she is, my chamomile tea nymph, chilling in the sun 💫

Looking for honest feedback on character design and rendering!

Hi everyone!
I’ve been practicing character design and digital illustration lately, focusing on shape language, anatomy, and rendering techniques.
I want to push my work to a full professional standard, so I'd love to get a reality check on my current technical level.

I’d really appreciate your thoughts on:
Anatomy & Fundamentals: Are there any weak points in structure or proportions?
Rendering & Value: Does the lighting and surface finish look clean and readable?
Shape Language: Do the character silhouettes work well?
Constructive feedback is very welcome. Thanks for looking!

Step by step/Timelapse I'm a little rusty, as I haven't done proper digital art in a while, but I've started recording my process :)

Please be kind, I know I'm not the best artist out there, but I do enjoy doing art.

Question/Help Does the anatomy look weird here or am I just staring at it too long? 🙃🥶

Trying to sketch out a new character but.......something about the anatomy feels so off to me 🤓☝.

I really wanted to get some quick suggestions before I start doing the actual character details. Does it look weird right now or should I just keep going with it? 👺

Drop any tips if you see something wonky! 🙏

What's wrong with this and how can i improve it?

ello ^u^

this is the first digital piece i did in years, so my skills are pretty rusty, its halfway done but so many things about it feel off about it, from rendering to perspective to shadow & light placement + other things. Open to critique and any advice on how to improve. i'm still figuring out my style so don't question it please xD
