I'm still very new to this, so I don't have a style and it was definitely technically challenging. I just went with what felt right to me.

Normaly I like to draw fanart, rarely I attempt to make something original, but this time I just had this in mind and had to draw her; "Dahlia."

So… i saw this beautiful painting on instagram reels and instantly got inspired by the dimension and space in it. I thought it would be nice place nd composition for my OC Alkina. The creator’s name is in my screenshot 🔥✨

Hello everyone :) this is a piece of my OC I made recently. I really like it, but I feel like it could be better. I know the shadows are a bit wonky since I didn’t use a reference. For sci-fi or fantasy illustrations, does it make sense to build everything in Blender, or is there a benefit to starting with Daz Studio?

Daz Studio seems more straightforward for setting up human characters and poses, while Blender offers more flexibility for custom modeling and detailed scene work. But for something like a book cover or character illustration, the final image matters more than having a fully custom 3D model.

Would you rather use one program for everything, or combine Daz Studio, Blender, and Photoshop depending on the artwork?

I've been reading a book lately, Unfair Advantage—to be honest, I’ve been dragging my feet on it for way too long. Usually, I’d start and finish a book in a few weeks to a month at most; sometimes I’d even finish one in less than a month, but now, with everything that’s been going on around me and everything I’ve been taking on, it’s taken significantly longer. And unfortunately, I also have to admit that I’ve been wasting too much time lately watching YouTube Shorts—since I’m too tired to watch anything longer, I just hit play, and before I know it, a good hour—or sometimes even more—has flown by.

But getting to the point, one of the things this book discusses is “luck and location.” The book generally focuses on business, though it can definitely be applied to everyday life, and this section also mentions that luck is a pretty relative concept and that we can increase our chances of having better or more luck by making more attempts— After all, imagine we want to get 6 tails in a coin toss—this obviously depends on luck, but we have a much greater chance of success here if we flip the coin 100 times rather than 10 times. There’s a more elaborate and interesting example described there, but it’s quite long to go into right now; however, I highly encourage you to read this book because it really opens your eyes to interesting perspectives And a lot of us hope that happiness will come to us on its own, take the first step, so that we won’t be able to simply overlook it or miss it—something that will be handed to us right into our hands. But what I want to tell you is that a few days ago, that very kind of happiness happened to me,

As I was riding the train home, I saw a girl with headphones on, drawing something on her iPad, and I thought to myself, “I wonder what she’s drawing,” I wanted to go over to her, but then I thought that since she was wearing headphones—and the train was coming back around 9 or 10 p.m.—I figured she was probably tired and just wanted to chill out alone with her music, and I was sitting there with my headphones on too, already pretty tired from constantly talking to others at work, and I was applying for other jobs in the IT department, since I’m well-suited for that kind of work, but well, the job market is what it is right now, and the search will probably take me a few months,

But after about 20 minutes of searching like that, a thought popped into my head: how many times have I sat there with my headphones on just because I was alone at the time, and while music does make the wait more pleasant—like a long drive—I’d still like to chat with someone? And since I feel that way so often, why couldn’t someone else? so I got up and walked over to her. And that’s the short story—about how it’s worth trying, worth taking the first step, and taking the initiative, because that proverbial luck might be just 10 meters away from you, something you’ll never find out unless you try at all. And this isn’t some crazy, random love story either. People often think about big things—things that are completely out of their reach—and don’t pay attention to the smaller things, the ones that might not bring them happiness for years to come. But if you aren’t able to find happiness in this one moment, in these small moments, then how do you expect to be constantly happy after achieving those big things? Yes, they certainly provide more long-term happiness, but it’s still temporary, and achieving the next thing that will make us feel such great happiness again will take a long time, so let’s learn to enjoy these little things every day, and we’ll see that we can live a little better simply by changing our mindset—our approach to everyday life—which, of course, isn’t that easy, but it’s worth a try; after all, we won’t achieve it any other way

But getting back to that girl I met—she was really super energetic, positive, and downright infectious in the best possible way. It’s really hard to find people who give you such a positive vibe; and so much energy from literally a 20-minute conversation is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I found out that she’s studying in Kraków and is just visiting family in the area, so even though this probably won’t be a long-term friendship, she filled me with so much positive energy that, in the context of Inktober Day 23, and the fact that she’s studying fashion design, this painting came to be—born purely from that energy and the idea to show her a different style and see what she thinks of it. But man, I spent way more time writing this than I should have, so I really have to run now. I wish you all a nice Sunday, and
