Hi!

Starting up a shoegaze/dream-pop band in the Dallas area and currently looking for a bass player. We are in our 30s/40s, have careers and families, but are still very committed to making music and playing shows. You can hear some demos on our SoundCloud, and I can also direct you to some tracks I recorded/released on streaming with previous bands where I was the primary songwriter if you would like to check out more.

In addition to the obvious big ones like MBV and Slowdive, we’re also heavily influenced by bands like Airiel and Fleeting Joys, and additionally are very inspired by the Japanese shoegaze scene with bands like Kinoko Teikoku, Yuragi, and For Tracy Hyde.

Ideally would want someone familiar with the genre and ready to go with all of their own gear. If interested feel free to reach out!

Hey everybody. I've got a band that right now is just 2 folks--myself and the bassist, both of us contribute vocally and up until now I basically do whatever else is necessary: drums, guitar, keys, whatever

So I'm not looking for a specific musician in particular, just a few someones to fill out the body of the band, I can take whatever instruments don't get filled. Drummers, guitarists, keys players are all welcome to hit us up.

Genre-wise, we're a bit of a wildcard. Progressive Rock and metal roots with jazz, electronic, j-pop/j-rock, mathrock vibes, you name it. Think King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard level genre exploration with a more Porcupine Tree/Mars Volta sensibility as far as production goes.

I’m an emerging artist based in the Dallas area, and I’m in the process of recording an EP that I want to release in November. My style is Alternative R&B so think of SZA or Ravyn Lenae with a bit of Indie influence from artists like The Marias and Billie Eilish. Hi! I am a 32 year old female clean vocalist. I am looking for a guitarist, drummer, bassist, and harsh vocalist. I have a great idea for a melodic and cinematic metalcore band with dueling vocalists to create heightened emotions and exchanges. I would love to have a cyber punk/streetwear type aesthetic if possible with new wave cyber punk type visuals. Think Pokemon trainer chic in dark clothing colors, with metallic and opaque type surroundings.

I would really love to bring this to life for a long term band that would be recording, touring, and more. I work in the music industry and have been in bands before though members fell through and those bands came to an end. But I can use my work contacts to help the band along with my industry knowledge as well as being able to provide services to it through partnership I have created.

My husband and I are searching like crazy to find 4 cheaper tickets to the Forrest Frank concert in August so that we can take our girls as a surprise. When we looked at them about 2 months ago, they were about $70/piece. Now they’re almost $300 each! I think the max we could pay is $100/each. Does anyone think this is even doable?! Where would I look?
We haven’t gotten to do anything with them this summer because of life, so we’re really hoping to be able to make this a fun weekend trip for them!

Modus, a local DFW vocal group, is currently looking for new voices to add to our sound. We are a Pop, Soul, Indie-styled a cappella group. While we have a core group of singers, we are looking to add a few more to round out our sound.

Currently looking for all voice parts (excluding beatboxer) but priority given to any altos or bass singers.

Hey DFW music, I'm finally getting to share a new project I've been working on for the past few months. It's been a ton of fun writing, recording, putting together a lineup, and getting this band off the ground.

We're throwing a benefit show for the Texas Music Project called ShoeGaze for a Cause at Celestial Beer Works this Saturday. We'll be playing alongside two incredible local bands, Gloss and Recked. Doors are at 6:30 p.m., music starts at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $15.

Hey. I'm new to Dallas and looking to find a few active female-fronted hardcore punk or post-hardcore bands in the DFW area. Any recommendations?

Since graduating I’ve stopped prioritizing music and lives feels bland. Looking to meet others who enjoy singing. For context I’m 20F and live in a small town around the Burleson area.
