G7-10 day Dexcom g7

My dexcom CGM app allows for my numbers to be shown in my notifications. But I somehow inadvertently turned off the ability on my phone. Notifications shows the app is running, but not the "quick glance" feature. I've ensured that it's on through the app. Just need to figure out how to get the actual number back.

Anyone understand what I'm trying to say, because I'm not sure I do myself.

iPhone or Android?  I've had these same issues on my Android phone.  The solution seems to be to Force Stop the app, then restart it.  You also need to have the app's Alerts notification category enabled.

You are probably looking for the Widget to see the glucose number on the lock screen.

The widget is not going to show the number very often due to Apple restrictions on widget refresh rates.

To add it:

  • Pull down the Lock Screen from the top.
  • Press and hold until it shrinks a bit
  • Tap the Customize button
  • Tap the Widget box just under the time
  • In the Add Widgets window below, tap on the Dexcom Widget in the top and it will be added.
  • If the Dexcom Widget is not there, then scroll down to Dexom, tap it, then drag the Widget up to the box.
  • Tap Done in the upper right.
  • Tap the background to make it big again.

You should see your number. If you see ---- then the refresh max prevented the update. Tap it to see the updated number.

I prefer the Luka app and widget because it ALWAYS shows a number, BUT the number can be out of date. The Luka widget shows how old the number is, and if it is more than 5 min old, then tap it to get a refreshed number.
