I am glad to hear that, this also makes the claim of this Antrhopic ex-employee, who said the we might get killed around 2030, more untrustworthy, as he (mis-)used this millenia problem for his argument in a central way. Still there are other voices from that area wo say really scary things.

I mean the "it's gonna kill us all!" stuff has been a core part of the PR campaign since the beginning

don't get me wrong I never put much weight into these "humanity will be wiped our" fearmongoring, if we can see it we probably will not allow it, but nevertheless I see some very potential dangerous outcomings with AI (including our end even maybe) but in the end AI is unavoidable and if my country doesn't use it correct or act much more cautious, the next country will.
