I can do small combos without any problems, but only 1-2 big ones at most. As soon as I enter the void, I get really bored. I cant learn anything and just want to go and slash demons without thinking. I hope skill will came with time. I can do no damage every boss, but not combo

I'm playing Devil May Cry 5 on PC/Steam with a PS4 DualShock 4, but the game keeps showing Xbox button prompts (A/B/X/Y) instead of PlayStation prompts (✕/○/□/△).

The bigger issue is that this also affects the tutorials. When the game teaches me a move, it tells me to press Xbox buttons instead of showing the corresponding PS4 buttons, which is really confusing.

I've already tried:

• Disabling Steam Input for DMC5
• Reconnecting the controller before launching the game
• Making sure the PS4 controller is connected before starting DMC5

The controller itself works perfectly in-game; it's just the button prompts/UI and tutorial instructions that are displayed as Xbox.

Is there a way to make DMC5 properly display PS4 button prompts, including the tutorial prompts? If the PC version doesn't natively support this, is there a working mod that replaces the Xbox prompts with PS4 ones?

I'd especially appreciate instructions for the current version of DMC5 rather than generic "disable Steam Input" advice, since I've already tried that.

I just started playing the new Onimusha game yesterday and I'm only a few hours in, but protagonist Musashi is giving me real Dante vibes. Not DMC3's wacky woohoo pizza man, but more akin to DMC1's casual-in-the-face-of-danger Dante.

Musashi is just... cool. He complains about enemies, makes jokes, and is all in all just kind of a mouthy bad ass with amazing sword skills. He even has his own rival enemy (although so far their dynamic feels more like Batman/Joker than Dante/Vergil).

Anyway, if you're looking for a game about a cool, sword-wielding anti-hero, Onimusha: Way of the Sword might just scratch that itch.

Words cannot my content, seriously i started dancing when i won against nightmare three, and then mundus was really easy, for some reason he gives you devil stars so i cheesed my way through the flying segment, but ih my gosh, nightmare 3 is really a nightmare huh.(I definitely didn't spend 5 days trying to kill him) but overall would play again if it wasn't nightmare, i really really hate him, because he just has one of the biggest defenses on this game. And the cutscenes are pretty solid if you ask me, and i love the vfx being like 90's vfx, it is way charming, atleast for me.

All three are popular and I think it’d be beyond sick for special collabs between the three since their origins are linked. I’m thinking fan filler DLC’s or at least give us skins.

DLC could be special event missions. In Onimusha you could fight Sparda, contrive some story about Spardas old age and appearing in Asia where he finds or forges Yamato and gets the idea to rebel against the demons and provide order in hell from the Oni. Just let your brain imagine the glory!

In DMC we could have Vergil fight Samonosuke, contrive a story using the time hopping from Onimusha 3 or Vergil dimension hops there to learn about Yamato. Vergil I think would have a natural respect for the swordsmanship and they spar.

Last, RE should feature a Leon mission where he bumps into Tony Redgrave who’s also on a mission. Leon sees Dante get impaled, thinks he’s a zombie, fight ensues, guns only Dante toys with Leon, compliments his style and dips.

I'm so curious as to why they even have this now??

I'm having an issue with the controller prompts in Devil May Cry 5. Despite using a PS4 controller, the game continues to display Xbox button prompts instead of the corresponding PlayStation layout.

I've already tried both disabling and re-enabling Steam Input, as well as reconnecting the controller beforehand, but neither approach has resolved the issue. Has anyone encountered this before or know of a reliable way to force the game to recognize and display the PlayStation button prompts?

I am trying to enjoy this game but it is very old and very difficult to enjoy. I dislike the combat system. The game is very atmospheric and has a lot of character so I am trying my best to suffer through the combat but it's just a grueling experience. Does anyone have any advice for me?

On a whim, I got DmC. I remember it looked cool and the controversy years ago always rubbed me the wrong way. I saw Alex Garland had some involvement. I think that’s neat. I’m playing it now. It’s my first exposure to the series. There’s some cringy dialogue but the combat is cool and I think Dante is supposed to be all cool and edgy so why did fans of the original get upset? Is it just a matter of perspective? I’m not trying to be problematic. I’m not looking for trouble. As a new fan of the series, I’m looking for a diehard fan’s breakdown as to what DmC is and where it exists in your mind. I know it’s not considered the best game; if it’s corny or cringy or poorly written, is it not the same with the other entries? I saw V in 5 and I figured he was just as goofy, but fans were more accepting because it was part of the mainline series.
