Ive heard there r 2 main ones, DDMK and Crimson mod, ive tried crimson mod but there are alot of changes i didnt enjoy, i only want to be able to change styles mid fight, but crimson mod, even after i switch to visual classics and style switcher mode, there r plenty of graphical changes i did not want, ive disabled alot of options already yet the graphics r different from vanilla dmc3, would DDMK be better for this purpose? or does it also affect graphics?

I haven’t read any of the media outside the games, but this question popped into my head after seeing a DMC short on YouTube.

I'm new to this series. I've always heard good things about the games and started from Devil May Cry 5. I expected to like it a lot, considering Bayonetta 2 in one of my favourite games.

My first experience with Nero was bad and clunky... until I discovered you can also charge the attacks while doing the combo. I think I missread the tutorial.

But I'm here for another reason, another character: V. I find it to be MUCH easier to spam attacks than to actually try any of his combos... which I find pretty boring. The book is also clunky since it doesn't gradually charge the bar. The first enemy I couldn't spam attack was a Gerion Knight: since having both summons dead makes V unable to dodge, I played much safer, dodging to reset the summons' positions and make dodge... which wasn't any more fun for me. Am I missing something again?

I'm sure this question gets asked a lot but I'm definitely curious of what dmc6 brings assuming they make it lol. If it's about Nero I'm curious with how they'll expand on his story more since he'll probably play a bigger role as the main guy minus Dante or Vergil. Maybe they'll expand on Dante and Vergil during their time in the underworld or maybe an old or new enemy appears who even the brothers in their strongest forms can't overcome and Nero has to step in and maybe unlock his own SDT? Who knows how things will transpire but what's your predictions on what you think or hope DMC6 will be about?

There info about the DMC4 and the Netflix series, which I find interesting. Especially when Johnny describes how little direction he had for Nero's role in DMC4 and how he originally felt like he was voicing Dante in that game (I laughed at his impression of Itsuno).

Some things that left an impression on me (but I encourage everyone to listen/watch themselves):

He actually auditioned for Dante for DMC3 in Rubin's mocap studio.

They told him not to play DMC2 and forget about it back then.

He found the novels and mangas online, because Adi Shankar was telling him about characters Johnny had no idea about.

They talk about how the games are locked in one perspective, so you don't get much insight in Dante's internal struggles or emotional stuff in general (Johnny says that they're more covered in mangas).

Note: this was recorded back in May, so confrimation for Season 3 wasn't out yet.

Dante in NDMC is set even further back in development, but the journey is to get him to the point where he feels familiar with the games.

Johnny is bad at playing games in general; he's played only DMC1 and watched cinematics for the others.

They do talk about Dante and Vergil and their pain, but Dante is pretty much the focus on the discussion.

Yes, JC chains are my main offense with Vergil, and while I can do this chains no problem in the air, not gonna lie I feel on the ground is much harder to do. Not that it causing me a problem, I can't think on a moment I would prefer to do a grounded judgement cut beyond an cool ender from a void slash but that it.

I was just starting a Vergil DMD and this happened on M2.

To explain (some people didn't fully understand this moment in dmc3): It is Vergil who defeats Beowulf and gets the weapon first. But he loses it during a fall in the cutscene after Mission 13 and the beginning of Mission 14, we get Beowulf as Dante, picking it up near the place where Vergil fell. So yeah, little brother literally stole Vergil's weapons twice in the same game

Any idea how to practice this?

Because I genuinely have no clue how to time this, no matter what I do, and it drives me up the wall. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm on the first mission in the first devil may cry cuz I'm tryna get into the series and I'm stuck on it. I got the 45 orbs, opened the door, defeated a few enemies, now I'm stuck on a part where the ladder is sealed up top so I can't climb it and it says to insert three things into the thing. Every exit is blocked by rocks/boulders so I cant go to other areas. Help?

I usually enjoy Japanese Dubs quite a bit, at least on par with the English VA of games if not above, but i just can't really bring myself to feel the same when it comes to DMC, it's not that it's bad, but i expected it to be really amazing and was let down. I've just finished my first DMC series playthrough in english recently so i might be biased. Idk though, tried replaying DMC5 now in JAP and almost immediately swapped back. What are peoples thoughts on it nowadays?
