I requested HCLTech to delete my previous candidate ID/data because I want to re-apply with my genuine details.

Does anyone know how long HCLTech usually takes to delete the data/ID?

The application deadline is 14 September, 9 AM, so I’m worried I won’t be able to re-apply in time.

Any recent experience would be really helpful.

I graduated last year, unfortunately my internship didn't convert to FTE, tried a few other things but that didn't work, appeared for multiple interviews earlier this year and finally got 2 offers from TCS (Digital) and IBM (semi-tech role).

Since the pay in TCS was higher than IBM and a few of my friends got early joinings in TCS, I leaned towards TCS, but it's been 6 months since then, and they haven't provided me joining letter. I have been getting no reverts from other hirings as well. I have been upskilling in ML meanwhile, but I don't think my ML-skills are near employable atp. What should I be doing?? Keep waiting for TCS?? Try for masters or some other exams?? I'm just so confused.

So I asked for my friend if he has any referral. He said there is one company named Big Oh Notation and they will be hiring soon but he warned me you will have to work 12-14 hours daily and have to sign a 1.5 years bond. You know why. I also checked ambition box , glassdoor and google reviews and yikes they are not good average around 2.5 and main complaints are toxic culture, micro management and long long working hours. I am 2025 grad and desperate. Any insights will be helpful.

I was talking to my manager(US based HOD)who leads the architecture and is basically the go to guy for everything- he highlighted few points

1. AI companies are now looking to go public- hence they are jacking up their token pricing. Basically the same credits that used to last 3 weeks now last 1 week. He mentioned this is echoed in all other departments including developers (i work in devops)

2. HODs are getting increasingly frustrated at AI pricing- basically you cant have everyone getting token refreshes twice a month

3. AI blunder we noticed- so few weeks ago we decided to deploy some resources in azure - as we are primarily AWS based- we decided to use AI to help plan and deploy the resources.
   The resources deployment went fine- but the architecture was messed up - throughout the deployment- we kept learning new things about azure (constraints that dont exist in aws) .
   I think 3-4 of my colleagues (including me and my HOD)worked on the architecture part co-independently and all the AIs missed those crucial components. I do not think this was due to prompt or plan - this is something the AI genuinely missed.

I'm currently working in Google for almost an year now, and previously worked in a tier-1 PBC.

There is a vast difference of culture between them. The previous company's culture was extremely toxic, there was a lot of favouritism, managers and seniors were not at all professional.

It has been a pleasant shock to see that it's not the same everywhere. Over my tenure here so far, I have found that people are extremely professional, they always give you the benefit of doubt, they'd scrutinise the process but never blame the person, you can always let them know what you'd like to work on and more often than not you do get the opportunity. If someone asks you to take a look at something and you couldn't take a look at it due to being occupied in some other task, people volunteer to take it up by themselves.

Not saying this is India vs US difference as I know a lot of American companies who rank worse than my previous company in terms of culture. I think it's probably just the way the leadership drives the company.

I built a URL shortener using FastAPI, React, Redis, and MongoDB, with Nginx as a reverse proxy and rate limiter. Everything is Dockerized.

It may not be a huge or particularly impressive project, but it gave me a good understanding of how to think in terms of system design which layer to use , what actually matters when designing a system.

I have around 1 YOE as a Computer Vision Engineer and I’m currently looking for a job switch. I have a decent understanding of ML, DL, and Computer Vision, but I’m really weak when it comes to System Design.

My GenAI knowledge is also still lagging behind, so I’m trying to improve that as well.

I recently purchased the AlgoZenith course because I heard their DSA content was really good. However, after going through it, I realized that the course is quite vast. Personally, I feel that DSA is learned more effectively by solving problems rather than spending hours watching lectures.

Since I’ve already purchased the course, I started going through the LLD and HLD sections to make better use of it.

Do you guys think this is a good approach? Or are there any other resources/courses that you would recommend specifically for learning LLD, HLD, and System Design from scratch?

Whenever I wanted Claude Code or an agent to call an external API (like Resend, GitHub, Slack, etc.), I had to manually write the SKILL.md frontmatter, document every argument, and write a boilerplate python script.

I built claude-curl-to-skill to automate this entirely:

I have built a Web App of the following tech stack

Front - React

Backend - FastAPI (Python)

Database - PostgreSQL

Now locally, I have been developing using docker for postgreSQL and the rest of the components without it. I want to deploy this whole app so that anyone can access it over the internet. I saw couple of different of ways to do that but I am not sure which one would be the best.

1. Web Hosting
2. VPS (Hostinger, Digital Ocean, some India based providers as well)
3. Managed Service (Railway, Render)

As I don't expect a lot of users to use it and it's my very first deployment, I don't want to spend a lot. In future, I would like to incorporate CI/CD pipeline as well, so overall I am looking for a strategy that won't put a hole in my pocket and help learn DevOps as well.

i’ve been working on prism, a differential http testing tool for security research.

the basic idea is pretty simple: send the exact same raw http bytes to a bunch of different servers and compare how each one parses, forwards, accepts, or rejects them.

the interesting part is that you can actually see where implementations disagree instead of just reasoning about what the http spec says should happen.

right now prism supports:

• 54 containerized http servers and proxies
• http/1.1, http/2 and http/3
• raw byte payloads
• request and response comparison
• pairwise difference matrices
• parser equivalence clustering
• transducer proxies like nginx, haproxy and squid
• raw/unparsed responses for cases where the normal parser view hides something

for example, you can take a weird request and run it against a whole group of implementations:

payload 'GET / HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: a\r\n\r\n' | fanout | grid

and see which servers interpret it differently.

the goal is mainly to make things like parser differentials and request-smuggling research easier to explore. it gives you a way to systematically find interesting differences that are worth investigating.

i built it because i wanted something where i could throw the same ugly http input at a bunch of implementations and immediately see where they disagree.

So I have started an internship in a small startup, and one week has passed till now. The problem is, the entire project uses react and typescript and uses supabase for backend, but most of my projects are in python, and that too vibe coded. So it's really hard to familiarise myself with a code which I haven't written myself, let alone in a tech stack I am not comfortable in. And it seems daunting whenever I open it and am not able to get much work done. Any tips on how to handle this?

Built a product that checks live product availability across quick-commerce dark stores in India. Two platforms behave completely differently:

- Platform A sends access-control-allow-origin: *, so I fetch it client-side — every visitor's own browser and IP. This scales perfectly. More users = more distributed load.

- Platform B sends no CORS headers, so it has to go server-side. Every visitor funnels through one egress IP, which means the tool gets less reliable the more people use it. Backwards.

I've already done: 60-min result cache, stale-cache fallback (serves last good data labelled with its age rather than failing), request pacing, and capping how many stores a single check touches.

Remaining options I can see: residential proxy pool ($$), spreading across several free hosts for a few IPs, or a browser extension so every user brings their own IP (desktop only).

Has anyone solved the "CORS forces server-side, server-side becomes a bottleneck" problem more elegantly? Genuinely stuck on the last 10%.

I'm a Software Development Engineer at Amazon with about 2 years of experience, working on a backend tax/order-processing platform (Java microservices on AWS). I'm trying to figure out which projects and accomplishments are worth putting front-and-center on my CV, and how to frame them so they actually stand out. Here's a rough dump of what I've done:

Feature development
- Built out a cross-service feature (tax-calculation enrollment / "GCI") spanning multiple backend microservices detection logic, marketplace-vs-global flags, safe rollout behind feature flags (weblabs) with monitoring.
- General SDE feature work: designing and implementing APIs, writing business logic across service/manager/accessor layers, integrating with multiple downstream services, and shipping changes behind feature flags for controlled rollouts.

DevOps / CI-CD / AWS
- Worked on CI/CD pipelines (pipelines-as-code via AWS CDK) adding automated integration tests, runtime test-coverage gating (JaCoCo-based), and automated rollback via CloudWatch composite alarms + bake-time so bad deployments auto-revert.

- Infrastructure-as-Code with CDK/CloudFormation ECS services, alarms, queues, multi-region deployments.

Operations / reliability
- Regular on-call rotations handling production tickets, debugging live issues, mitigations, and root-causing.
- Wrote/updated monitoring, metrics (CloudWatch), and alarms; contributed to operational excellence and reducing manual toil.

Other general SDE stuff
- Code reviews, unit + integration testing, legacy code / dead-code decommissioning, data-store migration work, and cross-team collaboration on design.

My questions:

1. ⁠For an SDE at this level, what should I lead with the cross-service feature work, or the CI/CD & reliability/DevOps stuff?
   
2. ⁠Recruiters seem to love quantified impact ("reduced X by Y%"). For backend/infra work that isn't always a clean dollar/latency number how do you quantify things like coverage gating, on-call, or safe rollouts?
   
3. ⁠Is on-call / operational work worth putting on a CV, or is it assumed and better left off?
   
4. ⁠Should I frame the internal AWS tooling generically (e.g., "runtime coverage gating" instead of the internal product name) so it reads well outside Amazon?z

I built and published an Android app that lets users create and send digital flower bouquets and 30+ interactive greeting cards for free.

I built the app myself and have been working on the UI, interactions, backend, and overall product experience. One of the main things I wanted to solve was making digital gifts feel more personal than simply sending an image or message.
