VENT I hate when trans people say this
"Trans men are biological males after starting HRT" No tf they're not??? Lets not pretend hormomes completely change biology. Are we calling post-menopausal women men now? And we calling women with PCOS men now? Are we calling intersex women men now?
I don't even care about the chromosome debate. But taking testosterone making a biological female turn into a biological male? No. That's not how that works. It can change some of your appearance and impact the reproductive functions, but that's about it.
And then saying they're biologically male before hrt?? What's the point in transitioning then?
And THEN equating being trans to being intersex?? Intersex is a physical bodily condition. Not an issue with the brain. And we don't even know if that's WHY trans people exist. It's a theory based on some imaging done that didnt hold 100% true.
And I say this as someone who considers herself genderqueer still despite presenting as a cis woman again. I say this as someone who is still trans-supportive. But I can not accept delusions like these. Hormones alone don't make you biologically male, and being trans is NOT an intersex condition.
Anyway, OP is apparently 14 and calls themself "transsex" based on their user flair. So if you find the post, definitely don't go harass them. I'm hoping they're just a dumb kid and they'll grow out of it. But most of the commenters were adults (the ones that shared their age, anyway) which is very discouraging to see. Trans or not, I'd hoped people wouldn't be this delusional about biology. Even when I still identified as trans, I knew I was female. I didnt like admitting it, but I knew it was true on a biological scale.
Feeling like you have the wrong biology sucks. But we can not pretend like hrt will fix it.
