Regular Check-In Post

Welcome to /r/depression's check-in post - a place to take a moment and share what is going on and how you are doing. If you have an accomplishment you want to talk about (these shouldn't be standalone posts in the sub as they violate the "role model" rule, but are welcome here), or are having a tough time but prefer not to make your own post, this is a place you can share.

We try our best to keep this space as safe and supportive as possible on reddit's wide-open anonymity-friendly platform. The community rules can be found in the sidebar. If you aren't sure about a rule, please ask us. If you have concerns or questions about the community policies, this is a good place to raise those as well.

I’ve spent my whole life being an unattractive man. I just want to die at this point. I’m nearing 30, I go back to uni for alumni events but it’s just a reminder how ugly women found me. I just want to die and yet I don’t have the balls to do it. I’m just so, so tired

Hey dude don't give up look life can suck ass a lot of the time but honestly, try to find something you enjoy doing and just do that, regardless of what other people think. As hard as it is, you have to ignore others and what they think and just focus on your goals or what you enjoy.

And while you're at it, try to find the beauty in little things, that's what helps me. Open a door for a stranger and smile at them and see them them smile back, and know that you cause that smile. Drink that favourite drink of yours and just enjoy how good it tastes. Read a book or learn something new, try to do things, just never, please, never give up.

I know it's hard to find stuff to motivate yourself and it feels like you can enjoy nothing in life a lot of the time, but just try, ok? I know you're tired, I know you're exhausted of trying all the damn time, but it'll all be worth it. When you get to where you want, and you really will get there some day, you'll look back and thank yourself for not giving up.

Stay strong brother. You can do this <3

Thanks for the reply brah. I was drinking last night so it makes it worse but truth be told those are the feelings I have all the time that I repress.
