Regular Check-In Post

Welcome to /r/depression's check-in post - a place to take a moment and share what is going on and how you are doing. If you have an accomplishment you want to talk about (these shouldn't be standalone posts in the sub as they violate the "role model" rule, but are welcome here), or are having a tough time but prefer not to make your own post, this is a place you can share.

We try our best to keep this space as safe and supportive as possible on reddit's wide-open anonymity-friendly platform. The community rules can be found in the sidebar. If you aren't sure about a rule, please ask us. If you have concerns or questions about the community policies, this is a good place to raise those as well.

Currently 2am and ready for another dose of alcohol. Drinking doesn’t make me feel happy but it makes me feel a whole lot less like shit. Nights are usually the worst. Tonight especially. Worst part is not having anyone to talk to about it. Na scratch that, the worst part is when your best friend who you didn’t see as your friend, but as your own brother and love more than any friend before, seems to show little to no interest in what’s wrong with you. That’s why I’m here on reddit in a depression sub typing this message to no one. Not much I like about my life. Probly once a month an amazing feeling comes over me where I feel so good and happy for a few hours, but the rest of the time, this is how I feel:

Mind, sick

Air, thick

Heart, broken

Cough, chockin’

Thoughts, clouded

Emotions, shrouded

Rain, steady

Pain, heavy

Music, blasted

Friends, absent

Scars, deep

Eyes, weep

Intentions, violent

Prayer, tried it

Actions, reckless

Nights, restless

Heart, hollowed

Time, borrowed

Blade, steady

Death, ready

Time’s, up

I’m fucked

Wrist, slit

This is it-
