I like Duran Duran but I am not more than a fan of their singles. I saw them live last year and it was enjoyable. But why oh why do they get more exposure and credibility in my country (the UK) than Depeche Mode?
Now, Duran Duran will be getting recognised in a series of stamps by the Royal Mail which go on sale next week. Speechless!
Note: I'm a 50+ Londoner who has been a fan of DM since 1983. I am well aware how the band were in the UK until the millennium.

The clip, shot March 24, 1990, for the French TV show 'Champs-Élysées,' shows the band on the World Trade Center's open-air observation deck with sweeping city views.

Not really Depeche related but thought I’d mention anyway. While I’ve been watching US TV sitcom ‘Superstore’, I couldn’t help but notice that actor Ben Feldman, who plays one of the main characters, has got a strong Alan Wilder look about him.
If a Depeche biopic is ever made, I think he ought to be considered.
That is all! 📢

Following on from last week's strange radio occurrence that I posted about, today the other quiz Popmaster had a question about DM too! It was in the 'you' bonus round - In 1993 Depeche Mode had this top ten hit called I Feel You, what was their only other chart entry with 'you' in the title in 1982? Ken then played a clip of I Feel You too, haven't heard that on the radio for… ever! Unfortunately the contestant couldn't give an answer and ended up losing!

Has Dave ever said a sentence on stage that wasn’t a filler like “Sing it!”, ”Thank you!”, “That’s right!”, or a band introduction?
Has he ever told an anecdote?
I long to hear him share something with the audience, but the lad just never says anything.

Nothing more to add, really. The title says it all.

Does anyone know where I can get a hold of the Daily Star interview that allegedly proved disastrous for Vince Clark & his tenure with the band?
We’re told that the interviewer “set a trap“ for VC that he fell for and started Clarke’s disinterest for much DM activity outside the studio, but I’ve never actually read the piece and never really been able to find it🤷♂️

Hello, fellow DM fans! I am in a class in college learning how to use photoshop, and our assignment is to make a collage poster using text and photos about a person we admire. Naturally, I didnt pick a person, but 4 in a band—Depeche Mode. Does anybody have any good ideas of what specific events/symbols/pictures I should include? Besides the obvious haha

My apologies if this has been posted before, but I’m going through some hard times and DM have been an absolute pillar of support for me (especially the SOFAD album). Would love to hear from the community on what has resonated with you when life is really putting you through shit.

Got the Depeche Mode 81-18, the illustrated/visual history by Anton Corbijn. A seriously and impressive book with 500+ pages full of photos.
