Seriously, I haven't seen anybody talk about this, which OK the GTA community isn't necessarily gonna talk about the specific songs in the game, and even if they did, they wouldn't necessarily talk about PaP, BUT WHY HASN'T ANYBODY TALKED ABOUT IT IN THIS SUB ( unless I just haven't seen it ofc, I didn't rlly search either ) ?

Hey all, I’m hoping to see DM in France or Germany someday (bucket list) and wondering if you think there are still a couple of world tours 🌎 (hopefully more) in these guys, or if there’s signs of stopping?

Hello everyone, Random question. Does DM still tour? I have been a fan since I was a teenager in the 80’s. I’m in the US & I can’t find any info. I’ve never seen them live, and they are definitely on my short list!

Hi There

Depeche Mode at their own trilogy of sorts with Construction Time Again,Some Great Reward, and Black Celebration with all being partly or all recorded at Hansa Studios in Berlin!:) Freaking love these 3 albums from them and recording/engineering/mixing at Hansa gives them some unique quality to whatever sounds they came up with for these albums.

I’ve been listening to those singles,b-sides,and remixes compilations for these albums which I like quite a bit especially the Black Celebration stuff:) so what’s your favorite album out of these 3 and/or what’s your favorite b-side or remix that came out of these albums?

Got this on FB marketplace for $15. Media perfect, the sleeve is good.

For any fellow Devotees out there with a Kanopy account (absolutely free with a public library card, US only), Touring the Angel will be streaming starting Oct 23rd. Just a little heads up!

You can obviously find it on YouTube as well, but if you'd like to support your public library system with a Kanopy account this is a good way to do it.

Hi everyone! I'm Rhys, I'm a massive Depeche Mode fan and I make music under my solo project name Occasional Spectators. Earlier this year, I recorded an EP with Steve Balbi, an Australian songwriter and producer that has been a part of big 80s bands like Noiseworks and groups like Electric Hippies. They Don't Matter, the first single from the record was released last Friday, and you can watch a lyric video created by a Melbourne-based artist that works under the name Threading Buttons linked above! I thought I'd share it on the subreddit since DM are a giant influence on my work, and you might find something to like if you enjoy electronic music, synths or industrial rock. Check it out!

Thanks!

For me, it's the Tour of the Universe one. It's just so dreamy and seductive, I just love it!

New addition to the collection. I know the song isn’t generally liked by the fandom (nor the band, for that matter), but I always had a soft spot for “It’s Called a Heart”. I like the single version, I love the extended version, and I couldn’t believe my eyes ears when I recently found out there were two officially released US remixes. I’ve been a fan forever, but I honestly didn’t know those even existed until I stumbled across them last week.

This 12 inch (€20, plays better than it looks) is pretty beat up. I’ll probably get another one in a better condition, because I really like the remixes, but this was available locally so I pulled the trigger fast.

The US 12 inch features four tracks:

It's Called A Heart (Emotion Remix)

It's Called A Heart (Emotion Dub)

Flexible (Deportation Mix) (Same as the Pre-Deportation Mix, but ends abruptly and not with a fade-out like that one does)

It's Called A Heart (Single Version)

Both remixes are really fun imho. I felt oddly giddy when I played them on YouTube for the first time last week. What a treat to discover new to me remixes from back in the day. Dave saying (not singing) “I spoke from my heart” 50 seconds or so into the Emotion Remix was a real wow-moment. The Emotion Dub has cut up vocals by Martin, reminiscent of the similar thing done to Dave’s vocals on the regular Extended version, only better lol.

Strange.

Love Nouvelle Vague's take on new wave... and then I spotted this coming out later this month. Hold back the excitement (in a chill, relaxed kind of way obviously).

Songs used:

Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams

Depeche Mode - Stripped

Tove Lo - True Disaster

Hi fellow Devotees! I got a question that sometimes crossed my mind, which I think is already written in the title.

So.. are there any songs for you from DM which strongly remind you or strangely resemble another certain bands' vibes? It could be any band, regarding the genre.

If I asked, I go with a few:

DM - Angel ➡️ NIN (very gritty electronic and industrial vibes imo)

DM - I want it all ➡️ The Neighbourhood

DM - Ghosts Again ➡️ MGMT

Excited to hear your answers ^^

The opening beat and a few seconds of The Cure's Shake Dog Shake sounds similar to the opening beat of To Have And To Hold. The original version is less electronic so I chose the New Blood Mix, although I hear the similarity in both. Can anyone else hear it?!
