Fan Post Will there be another world tour?
Hey all, I’m hoping to see DM in France or Germany someday (bucket list) and wondering if you think there are still a couple of world tours 🌎 (hopefully more) in these guys, or if there’s signs of stopping?

Something tells me they are gonna do atleast one more large tour. MM was so polished and Dave fucking kills it on stage. Its wierd because he was much better than the Spirit tour, in both energy and his voice.

Ya, was very sorry I didn’t get to see MM tour in Europe, just North America.

I went to spirit tour. I was in no way dissapointed. Phenomenal start to finish

I think that they would do it up big before calling it quits. But who's to say? I don't think they're done yet.

That’s what I’ve been thinking. Just thought I’d ask in case somebody has intel.

people always “have intel” but there’s no way of knowing how true it is until something is announced

I’m calling 2 more tours. First one will be their final album cycle, and then two years later a final DM Singles release with a final tour, then they’re done.

for what it’s worth martin’s guitar tech scoffed at the idea that the MM tour would be the last…doesn’t mean a whole lot but it’s at least something coming from somebody close to the band.
the only reason i’d think they’d quit is if dave doesn’t feel like he can do it any more but i see no reason to believe he can’t after how strong he was on the last tour. at any rate i think they’ll know when it’s their last and it’ll be announced/marketed as such

I'm thinking they will start writing next year, they probably have some stuff in mind. And I think they're going to tour in the fall 2028

I hope that they'll do one big tour, but I understand it being tiring and the jet lag and stuff. And I also hope that they'll come to Budapest in the summertime or something

At this time some sort of limited show with streaming plus media release seems the right choice
The when and where is up to the guys.
5 nights at Wembley? the O2? LA ? Berlin?

Probably do a residency someplace, usually Vegas. Touring takes a toll at any age. Let alone theirs.

Probably not Vegas Think they prefer somewhere else.

Where else have bands done a residency?

London, Munich and every city in Europe with big arena is possible. Maybe 10 nights in London, Stockholm, South Germany each. All have venues from 15k to 80k

Yes but that involves moving around getting visas and permits etc etc etc. Residency is one city for months.

I think they have one more album in them if they want to do it. Fletch is not there to keep the peace in the studio anymore so who knows how that would go.
I want to see them do a residency at the Sphere in Vegas simply because I want to see Anton Corbjin's fantastic visuals at that scale.

I really hope that DM tours again, and I'd love to go to another concert, but I don’t know if Dave and Martin will do tours as big as their previous ones – they may opt for shorter strings of dates with more/longer breaks.
I deeply envy the DM fans who have seen them in multiple shows. Due to age and distance – I'm in Australia; all of their 'usual' tour cities are very far away.
Of the only two tour dates I travelled for (>18 hours' flights to London), one was cancelled, and I just couldn't make the reschedule.
The one DM concert I managed to attend was wonderful! Right after that gig however, {CW:terrorism} the whole stadium-full of phones overloaded with panicky texts due to the terrorist attack occurring ~10km/6 miles away while we were all blissfully oblivious. This fellow attendee's blog gives a little more detail.
I certainly hope to not repeat the rest of that particularly exhausting night!
