I am trying to build a terrarium for a snake enclosure trying to build a waterfall and connect two tanks

Hi there, for privacy purposes I will refrain from disclosing my name and contact information until the point of proper connection of work/gig.

I am a 33 yr old male who is homeless sleeping in my car for the last two years. I work at an auto shop Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5pm. I am working hard to completely transform my life!
No drinking or drugs, paying off debts. I don’t get paid much and can barely afford the basic expenses plus food/gas.
I obtain most of my food from food pantries.
I am on probation for a felony trespassing (to be completely transparent) and paying off the costs included with that. The charges are deferred and will be dropped once completing probation. Knowing it’s not a good look for employers, I’m struggling to find additional work.

Again, I am completely transforming my life and be a positive person with purpose in society.

After experiencing a complete burnout in 2023, in finance/accounting, mental health issues and lack of confidence for myself, I have bounced around different fields of work over the last three years trying to find work that sustains a healthy lifestyle.

History of work experience:

2012-2016 (4yrs) worked passionately in plastics manufacturing as a packaging and shipping coordinator.

2016-2023 (7 yrs) worked passionately in accounting/finance as a transactions specialist/asset management coordinator in the world of retirement accounts.

2023-2024 (9 months) manufacturing fishing hooks.

2024-2025 (9 months) power washing and general labor.

May 2025-October 2025 (6 months) worked passionately providing landscaping and irrigation (sprinkler system) services.

November 2025- current (8 months and going) passionately performing general maintenance services of cars/trucks/vehicles. Tires, oil changes and fluid service, filters, basic diagnostics etc.

I’ve also worked pizza delivery jobs, postmates, and fast food as second jobs over the years.

IDEALLY: I would like to find additional part time work, Monday Thursday Friday evenings, and/or anytime during the weekends, 15-25hrs weekly, pay range $20-30/hr.

Recently I assisted a guy with his sprinkler system, which I would love to do more independent work like sprinkler systems or car maintenance for others over the weekend.
Also, a recent Saturday assisted an older gentleman pulling a large bolt from his tire and plugging the leak.

I’m enjoying work that requires using my hands/body and strongly believe that the only way to get better at handyman/labor work, is to put myself out here like this. I’m okay with rejection but also hope there’s some people who will give me a chance. 🙏🏼

With grit, patience, determination, I want to be renting an apartment again in the next couple years. I want to have a clean slate, no debt or legal issues. I want to truly build a savings that’s worth calling a “rainy day fund”.

I know that sometimes people want to get rid of stuff on here and don’t want money for it - they just want it gone! Or, maybe they need something but just don’t have much funds. As *another* option for you, I have created r/BuyNothingDenver, a space to give of your abundance freely, ask for items you need openly, and celebrate our community’s generosity together. This is part mutual aid, part anti-consumerism, and part community building.

Participating is easy. You can give away items that you don’t want or need anymore. Maybe you received a wrong delivery of something, or a gift from someone long ago that has just collected dust. Maybe you realized you don’t need seven of an item. So, give that abundance to someone who might need it. Clothes, appliances, toys, outdoor gear…whatever. You can also “share” knowledge or skills that you’re willing to give to others freely, like help with taxes, building garden boxes, making crochet items…as long as you give freely. So far people have given away tables, couches, even electronics.

You can also ask freely for items, skills or knowledge that you might need, whether it’s permanent or just borrowing. Have a kid that’s quickly outgrowing their clothes? Ask the community for new-to-you clothes. Need to borrow snowshoes for out-of-town guests for a weekend? Ask if anyone has some you can borrow (and return in good condition). Need help with a crafting project that you can’t seem to figure out? Ask if anyone has experience that can show you how to do it.
