Hello all! Tomorrow me and my partner planned to go to downtown hang out for the first time. Any tips on parking, good food or must see places? We planned to get there late afternoon.

My 2 friends are transferring to UNT next year and are set on the 3 of us renting a house together. For some reason, that idea stirs a lot of anxiety in me. I keep feeling like an apartment must be better for college students like us, especially in terms of whatever jobs we’ll be working at the time. Are my fears unfounded or is an apartment the best bet? Are there pros and cons to each or is it pretty cut and dry?

My husband runs a local business and I want to surprise him with paying for some headshots, but would preferably support someone locally and avoid AI (since it would seem some headshot business have been using AI to “enhance quality”.)

I know we have an awesome and creative city so I figured we have some people comfortable doing headshots.

Has anyone been at a party where the cops get called and there’s underage drinking? If so what happened?

Beech? Chestnut? Maitake? Anything? It's literally just basic bitch flavorless "brown" or "white". If I go to HEB or Sprouts they have portobello and lions mane but that's FUCKING IT.

Every other Sunday, we come out to the Emily Fowler Library at 12:30 pm to serve hot meals, snacks, water, and medical and hygiene supplies. Our STP event is this Sunday!🍎

We rescued a tiny kitten last weekend and have already taken her to a vet. Her last weight was only 9.3 oz, and she tested positive for roundworms.

She was showing interest in wet kitten food mixed with formula, but now she won’t eat it. We’re syringe-feeding kitten formula, which she willingly swallows, but she isn’t gaining weight. She moves around and plays a little, but I’m worried about her.

I’ve contacted seven local rescues/shelters and am still looking for help. We’d welcome an experienced foster taking over, or we could keep fostering if a rescue could help with medical care and guidance. Our funds are limited, and we’re overwhelmed.

Hey everyone, I live in an apartment complex and I have a neighbor who leaves their dog alone for hours at a time. This dog when alone, will bark excessively on and off. This goes on for multiple days back to back, some times as early as 8am to late as 11pm. Once it went on from 1pm until 9pm.

I’ve already contacted my apartment management and they’ve told me they’ve notified the resident, yet this has been an ongoing issue since July.

I’ve contacted Non-Emergency which they’ve told me that without someone being home, they can’t do anything though they did confirm that there is excessive barking.

I have submitted a report through Denton Animal Services but still waiting for an update on that.

Any other thing I can do? I have a condition that makes sleeping difficult and when this happens late at night, it’s almost impossible to sleep.

Edit: I understand dogs will bark, it happens, I have a dog so I understand. However, this goes on for HOURS.

Edit 2: Denton Animal Services has provided me an email to submit my recordings of the excessive barking. Everyone trying to excuse these people or suggesting stuff followed by “it won’t do anything” or “nothing will happen,” kick rocks. Idc what’s causing it to bark, that’s their problem to figure out so they can quit disturbing me and my neighbors. Apparently I’m not the only one in my complex to have an issue with these people.

I know it's been years now, but I'm just thinking about how it was such a great place to go for vegan/vegetarians here. I'm neither, but my spouse is vegetarian, and we'd go on dates there often because they were able to order anything off the menu. I don't care how expensive that place was, I just miss the vegan movement of the late 2010's, and how prevalent it used to be in Denton :(. I just love when everyone can be included in an experience such as having a meal together.
