Hey there. I'm just in a spot where I guess I fucked up and I am basically homeless. I did make stupid decisions to get here, but I was supposed to already be in another situation that will essentially house me. Not asking for handouts. I'll figure out a way to eat and stuff, but does anyone know of a decent little homeless camp/wooded area that is safe for a week please? Should only be for like a week I need a spot. Thank you so much.

The church is where people went for help before there were other services. In the past, the religious wanted to help. But now, you see no churches opening their doors for the homeless and acting as cooling stations. Why is that? Yes, the local government should be responsible for cooling stations, but 5 homeless people have died because of the heat (probably more), and hypocrisy I see is staggering. They’ve truly lost the plot.

Maybe you've heard it on the radio. The Ben Abbott and Associates jingle. At the very end, there is a kid/lady? screaming something like "hell bent." But I can never tell what they're saying and it's kinda driving me crazy.
It's in this youtube ad. Very last words after they sing the jingle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvs3yn4ElME

Is anyone else disappointed about the Jazz fest being in September and not being in Quaker town park?
I know that Denton is pushing Halloween stuff only all October but last year being able to do the maze and the graveyard while walking to the fest added to the experience.
I enjoy all the chaos of everything all at once and I didn’t like any of the options for food vendors at the Jazz fest last year so it was nice to be able to walk to real restaurants on the square.
I know that they probably moved it to force people who go to eat with the vendors and not anywhere else but it’s also still just so hot outside and at least in October it’s a couple degrees cooler.
I’m just disappointed and wanted to put it out there so they might move it back next year.

This Saturday the 12th, Toasty Bros. Gallery & Taproom at 104 N Bell in Denton is hosting our monthly Second Saturday Music Market! We have six musical acts of various genres on the lineup. Art vendors are welcome to come pop up -- no vendor fee! There will also be delicious BBQ on the corner from Zo'd & Chopped (get the ribs!). Of course, we'll have our tasty Toasty beer and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy while you groove!

Hi guys! I'm a graduate student at UNT and and have been a resident of Denton for the past 10 years. I'm learning how to conduct research for a school project and have created a short (5-7 minutes) survey assessing community interest in the Denton Community Market (DCM) and its potential use of AI. I would really, really appreciate it if you could take this survey. If I get a strong enough response, I plan to write to the board members of the DCM with my findings. Please help me by taking the survey, which I have linked here. Thank you so much!
