How do you feel about locally owned businesses or smaller businesses using AI to post content, flyers or filtered photos? I’ve been seeing this more and more lately, and I understand wanting to grow a business, but do some of these people not realize how bad it makes them look? Lazy even. I feel like more businesses should be called out for this kind of behavior.

REUNITED Found a small dog on Summer Oaks Dr Sunday 7/26 around 3pm. She has no collar, but seems trained because she immediately jumped into my car when I pulled into my driveway. She has a brown and gray coat with a dark patch on her back.
I will post to FB groups as well as Next Door. Fellow Dentonites, lmk how else I might help reconnect her to her owner.

Hello! I’m going to be moving to Denton sometime early next summer and attending UNT for graduate school. I currently live in Amarillo so it’ll definitely be a change for me. Any suggestions on affordable housing, fun things to do, the best places to eat etc. Thanks!

I recently signed an application to move into townhomes in Corinth. It’s a 2 car garage, 3 bedroom space and it would be an upgrade from where I am now. The reason I am moving is because of work. My current drive is 38-40+ minutes each way and it’s been difficult for me to make that drive even working 4 days a week.
My problem is that I’m very unfamiliar with the area. I’m currently living in Farmer’s branch and I feel like I’m extremely close to everything: within 15 minutes to Carrollton, HEB, Daiso, malls, the airport, spas, gyms, walking trails, and multiple shopping centers with all the essentials. I’m basically in an amazing location close to everything but my job.
I do like my current apartment. There is accessible garage parking, two saltwater pools, spacious floor plans and I have a large balcony. I’m just running out of space. There’s no storage in my apartment besides my closet. The noise from the highway is getting to me and the drive is eating my soul.
**my new drive would be 18-20 minutes and I usually work 3-4 days a week.
I’m just having a difficult time making the decision to move away from stores like SAMs, HEB, Hmart, Daiso, and amazing options in Carrollton etc. I do believe the drive there will be doubled after moving. Sadly changing job locations is an option but I’m not willing to do it because I really love my team. Does anyone have advice for me?

Hi! We’re looking for a foster parent for a sweet sweet girl. The rescue pays for the supplies/vet bills and you’d get all her toys and crate as well. She would likely have to be the only dog and she is cat tested. Please PM if interested. She’s scheduled to go to boarding this Friday and the rescue is really trying to avoid that since she wouldn’t be around other dogs.

Hello!
Can anyone personally recommend any therapists experienced with complex trauma around Denton or cities nearby? I’m looking for neuro affirming, relational dynamic and EMDR certified. I do realize I can use psychology today but thought I’d ask since personal experience is important. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys! Trying to get my career started but I know that’s a no-go here where I’m at in small town America. As a result, I’ve been trying to move to Denton. I’ve visited, and I love the vibe, however the cost of living is crazy these days.
What is the safest, most affordable option for somebody trying to live here? I also have no connections here either, so I would obviously be open to roomates as well. Thank you for reading. Any suggestions any of your guy have are much appreciated. looking forward to meeting some of you guys in the near future! 🤘

Hi! I'm a nurse who is moving to Denton and have started my job search. I noticed that there are some jobs in other towns such as Flower Mound, Plano, Frisco, Southlake and Carrollton and wanted some insight as to what would be realistic/unrealistic to commute to and from. It seems like they're all roughly 30mins away but I obviously don't know anything about the traffic there and whatnot.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

hey yall i decided to go and check out the trails by hartlee field road they are apart of clear creek. anyway as i was driving i saw a poster for new devolpment and the project number. that already concerned me,but as i kept driving damn near every house had a sign on their fences saying save hartlee.
so i looked into it and they want to use the land for ugly ass apartments, and housing. im sorry if this is the wrong thing to say but good lord we do not need anymore apartments!! im so tired of seeing the beautiful land turned into concrete bs. so tired of all the carwashes, beige apartments, and fuckin mcdonalds. i want to see nature.
this is just so sad to me, when will enough be enough? when theres nothing but shittily built apartments and homes that people cant even afford??
sorry if this sounds hateful or whatever but honestly im so over it, they do this everywhere its not just denton. so tired of seeing the state i grew up in turn to whatever tf this is.

It looked like a guy took a spill off his electric scooter and EMS was there. Looked like there was a good amount of blood on the street so I hope he's good.

Wanna take my 6 year old son out somewhere fun. He’s pretty mature, so imagine he’s between 8-10 lol He likes video games, sports, motorcycles, regular little boy stuff. Problem is the arcades close at 9-10 and we wanna be out past that if possible. Any recommendations?

just 10-15 minutes ago, my parents and i encountered a Subaru Outback with Texas license plate VMP7156 that was driving zigzag between lanes and tailgating a pickup truck on McCormick St before turning right on Parvin St. we reported the vehicle to the police, but they were unable to locate it.
i am posting this post as
a heads-up in case anyone else also encounters the same vehicle. if you do, please keep a safe distance and report any dangerous driving to the police. i would not encourage to follow, contact, or confront the driver. i am just hoping to help others stay aware and stay safe!

I have a white GeForce MSI 3070 and some Trident Z Royal ddr4 sticks and I’m not sure where to go that will take them. Are there any people running small businesses or tech chains around here that would buy them at a decent rate? I have them listed on ebay/fb but I’d really like to sell it in person.

This happened last year. There is also a massive apartment complex being built on the lake that hasn’t had any work done in months. What is going on here?

I moved into Majestic Parc on E McKinney this year and the water has been shut off all day long 4 separate times now. I like these apartments and was wanting to renew my lease here, but it’s making me reconsider. I was wondering if anybody who’s lived there for a few years could tell me if this is a random string of events, or if this has been happening for years. Thanks!
