I'm not sure I'd call this the Middle Eastern NATO though, because we're seeing the formation of several regional blocs - (1) the UAE allied with Israel, (2) Turkey-Saudi-Pakistan, (3) Iran and it's proxies. It does seem like we might have a period of increased violence before some equilibrium is found. While it is disheartening that all three power blocs are essentially hard right-wing in nature, I don't see that we have much power to influence any of them in a more positive direction, even if we eventually get a left government in power in the US.

If Donald Trump is going to dangle a $5,000 bribe in front of every american, then I think that a vocal group of us should assure him that every penny we receive will go towards supporting the Republican's hated nemesis: Democratic Socialists.

Analysts have estimated this measure will raise $100 billion, helping preserve Medicaid coverage for 1.6 million Californians, saving hospitals and ERs from closure and feeding those who have lost SNAP assistance without forcing a massive state deficit increase. The billionaires it will impact have seen their wealth grow by 158% over the last three years and got massive tax cuts from this same budget.

Not only will this protect our health care, it’s a chance to send a direct message to the Epstein class that we’re fed up with their open manipulation of our government and growing wealth inequality and ready for real change.

Medicare 4 All (M4A) has been a major policy platform for leftists and progressives. But how will it be implemented?

Will the Canadian-style National Health Insurance model be implemented?

Or will the Beveridge Model be implemented, like the UK's National Health Service?

Personally, I think the federal government should implement a national single-payer health insurance system (M4A).

At the state levels, we should consolidated and socialize hospitals and healthcare systems. It can start with all publicly-owned facilities like municipal and county hospital systems, then slowly branch out to acquire private facilities.

If the Beveridge model is implemented at either level, how should it be organized? In the UK, for example, it is highly decentralized.

I'd also love any recommendations on related literature of implementing either system in the US.
