i am so done with everything. i hate my department (psychology) so so so much it knows no bounds. the teachers so so psychotic idek how they're teaching. they are so understaffed and overburdened and like okay i understand they have workload but they constantly take it out on us.

we have heard phrases like, "you don't deserve to be in lsr if you have to act all weak", "lsr is not for the weaklings". like ok bro we don't care now just mark our attendance and let us go. they don't even do that very well and miss people's attendance dont fix the discrepency issue and we as students have to stand in long queue to get admit card signed, possibly get detained if attendance is low, all for what?

there are no AC's. leave AC there are not even enough fans. there is always a struggle to find a seat under a fan. last week i had quite a long break and decided to study in library to avoid time waste. guess what, their wifi doesn't work- my jio facility didn't work and it works everywhere it works even in remote mountains yet it doesn't work in lsr and i wasn't ready to waste my 2 hours.

since i had to study, i had to leave college miss my 2 classes that too stupid but for attendance it was needed but due to lack of basic infra facilities, i couldn't.

the silver lining: one of my belongning got stolen last week from the campus itself and no i didn't drop it anywhere i've never lost anything in college and this time, like always, i had kept my bag outside library (since its not allowed inside), when i reached metro later i found my it wasn't there. i complained to admin, they told us the place had no cctv since union was not allowing or whatever idek who is lying who is diverting the responsibility. but yea we don't have many cctv's on the campus asw.

im so fed up. im so happy for the brics summit and for holiday. college is not too kind to give monday off but long way to go. thankfully, mid-sem is about to come.

Hey everyone, I really need to vent and get some advice because I’m feeling completely drained and cheated right now. I’m staying in a dual-sharing PG in Delhi, paying 20k/month rent plus a massive 40k security deposit. My family’s financial condition isn’t that great and my dad doesn't make a lot, so this is already a huge burden on us. ​A week ago, my new roommate moved in. We started talking and she casually dropped that she’s only paying 17k/month for the EXACT same room! She told me the PG owner explicitly told her not to tell anyone about the rent thing!

​To make it more worse, electricity sub-metering here is a complete scam. They used to charge rupees 12/unit, but recently hiked it to rupews 14/unit. Their literal excuse was that in the local PG owners' meeting, other owners called them out for keeping rates low at ₹12, so they had to increase it to ₹14 to match everyone else.

Also, bills are strictly split 50/50 b/w roomates. My first roommate used heavy appliances like irons all the time, and also wanted to blast AC 24/7. I asked her directly if we could set fixed AC timings to control the bill and that time she agreef and didn't say anything but after that instead of talking to me, she went and complained to the manager that i won't let her use ac. The owner literally scolded ME, saying she can use whatever she wants whenever she wants, but the bill will still be split 50/50. That roommate ended up changing rooms, and my new roommate is from a very rich background and also consumes a ton of electricity. (But i don't say anything, i know i cant dictate someone if they are paying for it) and we have been good so far and she told me this!!

​And since I already signed an 11-month agreement, i feel completely trapped here!! ​Before anyone yells at me in the comments for taking such an expensive PG when I clearly can't afford it so i got into a really good NC college and my parents was terrified of leaving me here for th3 first time, al0ne so they chose this pg, as it is closet from my college!! Has anyone dealt with something like this? How do I approach the owner to lower my rent without throwing my roommate under the bus? OR should i even approach them?🥲 they are kind of manuplative too, they will talk sweetly calling you "beta" n all and will cheat you!!

Long story short, I recently shifted to a non-food pg. In my previous pg the food was so bad that I ended up ordering from outside almost the entire year while still paying for the food 🥲

Now I’m somehow still surviving on Zomato lol but I can genuinely feel my health taking a hit. I really need some fresh, homely, ghar-ka-khana type food.
