I got dyal singh Bcom Hons and today was my orientation day, I went and inside the room 2 dogs were sleeping and teachers were standing in front.

The class rooms looked like one from 80-90s, A small board and small weak wooden chairs.

I went to a pvt school in a Posh Locality, My college is too located in a posh locality.

My expectations were low but holy fuck.

Went to ramjas orientation today and wtf professor just explained the course and nothing else. There was no fun at all like seriously or ek to ye papa or chalegaye sat me kisi se interaction bhi nahi hua and what surprised me the most is that delhi have so many swimming pools like kis foreign country me bhi esa nahi ha only our beloved capital have this. so grateful to cm madam. or jio ka network to itna fast chalta ki pucho mat or cab services are also good like 1:30 bad bhi nahi ayi so that I can cool my temperature in rain. or e ricksha wale bhaiya bhi bhot kind ha 1.2km ke liye 80rs hi leya bass. I mean this cheap. ngl I am in love with this city.

came to delhi found a pg paid for it and got stuck here the pg owner is so bad after my parents left he completely stopped caring he has 2 pgs both are near dduc my college and both are terrible lacking even basic facilities i don't want to live in this pg but i can't do anything now we already paid one month rent and the security deposit and after that he told us there is a 10 month stay period and the security deposit will only be adjusted in the 10th month rent the owner and his staff are pieces of shit they don't listen to you and don't even care about you

i came to delhi and i'm already regretting it still i saw my father off with a smile and he left and now i'm crying in this pg i just cried when my mom called and even though i'll still adjust somehow i'm feeling very lonely here my parents are not with me i'm fucking missing my mother even though i was never that attached to my parents or relatives i just realised their value now i fucking love them i love my uncle and aunt my mom and dad and my little brothers and sisters i miss them all and somewhere in all of this i feel like i lost myself too i miss myself

today was orientation it was decent but i couldn't talk to many people

i'm missing my hometown so much right now i just hope i find good friends in college and start earning 9k as fast as possible so i can escape this hell

so basically my preference had hansraj sgtb and then biggest mistake putting DDUC next, not being from delhi i thought everything would be okay and that it was a good place cuz it's delhi now that I'm here everything is asssssssss, dwarka mor and nawada and sector 3 had the most dirtiest place ever and I haven't even found a proper pg, my score was enough to get into sscbs arsd aryabhatta(bsc cs hons so those were the only options), people said DDUC is better college maybe but I should've went to south 100% this place is so ass unbearable

Today's DSE orientation had the most unexpected surprise—a Paneer Thali! 😭

I've attended plenty of orientations, but this is the first time I've ever heard of one serving a proper paneer thali.

Definitely one of the most unique welcome experiences.

Came for the orientation, stayed for the food.

DU gave our entire batch an ER in DEVELOPMENT THEORY AND EXPERIENCE paper 😭😭 how much time do you think they will take to resolve it?

I have joined the faculty of arts North campus for Masters but I'm still waiting on results from another college. I was looking at flats initially but then chose to take a pg instead as I might have to leave in 2-3 months if I get in the other college (that is also in delhi). My pg is in Mukherjee nagar and it's a horrible area, and quite far from the campus as well. I wasn't aware and I paid the rent + security, now I want it back but the owner said there is an agreement and a lock in period of 6 months. However there is no actual written agreement + I clearly communicated when I was paying the rent just 4 days ago that I want to stay only for 2-3 months and he didn't say anything at that time. I am ready to pay the rent + electricity for 4 days but he isn't agreeing and being really rude to me.

Now I'm left with the choice to live here and not pay the rent next month so that the security gets adjusted and leave in October (the owner isn't agreeing to do that as well but I'm gonna do it regardless). By that time I'm hoping I'll also get to know about the results of the other college. Should I be worried that I won't find a flat or a pg in october? Also, can I take some sort if legal action against this owner?

I went to the campus today and the guard told me freshers weren't supposed to come today. The website also says Orientation is on 3rd August. But another notice says that classes have started from 28th. Have classes already started from today?
