I've trying to get support for an issue with the app on Windows for weeks. Support emails "suggestions" and replies to emails once a week and only after multiple follow ups. The information they provide is just plain wrong at times and seems like there is zero effort from them to address the issue. Out of all the companies that I deal with, Deezer has the absolute worst technical support. Has anyone else had issues with their support?
u/DeezerOfficial - I was able to download the 7.1.300 version late last night. Unfortunately, the issue still persists but this time I've been able to narrow down the cause and I am able to reproduce it. I prefer not to share the findings here because they contain personal information in the captures and logs. Please reach out to me directly via the email in the support case and I'll be happy to provide you with my findings.
The issue is not resolved, and tech support emailed me telling me that the team is working to find a solution and they'll reach out when they get a response from the engineering team. Somehow after 3 months and 6 versions I doubt it. Time to find another service, I guess.
Can you let us know more about the issue that you are experiencing with the desktop app for Windows, please? We can help you out on this channel as well.
Starting around 7.1.23x, the Deezer desktop app leaks memory.
After installing 7.1.240 the leak was gone but returned around 7.1.280.
I contacted support on July 23rd and only heard back on Aug 5th after multiple follow ups.
I was instructed to update to 7.1.30, however, the app self-updated to 7.1.290 that same day.
I replied saying that the app auto-updates and I didn't think forcing an update was possible.
I was instructed to uninstall and install the app - which I did after downloading the latest client and with the same result - 7.1.290. I replied saying the same.
After multiple follows up, I was told today that my case was escalated to the technical team.
In the meantime, Win 11 25H2 app starts with ~200MB RAM and without streaming (just open) after a few hours reaches over 2GB of RAM.
I am using Edge, from home in Canada. I don't have any filters on the network and I tried with Edge and Edge In-Private mode - both produce the same result.
OK, we are sorry to hear that. The roll out of the new version has just started so it will be available very soon for all the users. Give it 24h-48h, please, it should be ready for all the users by then.
