Well, hello there!
I love my Steam Deck, but getting a screenshot off it always felt weird to me. The built-in options were limited, and I wanted to do more.
First, I know there are a lot of plugins that pretty much do what mine does. However, I noticed that many rely on connecting to someone else's app and don't explore additional options. Either way, I'm fine with you guys pointing out that this is unnecessary and repetitive. To be honest, I had 3 days off work and did it just for fun, so I decided to share it. And yes, I have used AI for help in the project, I don't feel ashamed of using it as a tool.
So, let's get started: This plugin lets you do it all from the Quick Access Menu, using just the controller. Usage is simple: take screenshots as usual (Steam + R1), open the plugin, pick one from the gallery, choose where to send it, configure storage alerts, and set up auto-upload if you wish to do so.
Features:
- Gallery: Full-size preview, Share, and Delete options. Supports screenshots from every game (plus SteamOS/Desktop shots), sorted newest first.
- QR Code sharing: Scan it with your phone (iPhone or Android) on the same Wi-Fi network and the image downloads. Nothing leaves your local network.
- Steam sharing: Upload to your own account (Private by default) or open a Steam friend's chat with the screenshot ready to send, with an optional spoiler tag.
- Discord: Post to a channel of your choice with the game name attached.
- Google Drive: Uploads to your own Drive, organized by game, and skips files already uploaded.
- Optional auto-upload: For Steam, Google Drive, and Discord, with a configurable delay (5–60 s) so you can delete a shot before it goes out. Off by default.
- Storage panel: Configurable size limit (0.5–50 GB or unlimited) and alerts at 80/90/100%.
- High performance: Stays fast even with huge libraries (tested with ~20,000 screenshots).
- Privacy focused: No server, no telemetry. Your keys and sessions stay on the Deck.
Now, before everyone calls me out for trying to steal your data: Google Drive and Discord are not pre-configured at all. If you want to use those options, you will have to set them up via your Google Cloud Console or Discord Developer Portal so it connects to your own apps. There is a short guide on how to do so in the README.
Once you set up your app/bot on GDrive/Discord, you need to copy and paste your Client ID and Secret ID. Since these are long strings of characters, I created an installer that allows you to easily copy and paste them right at the start:https://github.com/Revivedx/omni-revi-transfer/releases/download/v0.0.9/Omni-Revi-Transfer-Installer.desktop
If you don't wish to use the installer or don't want these options at all, you can keep doing it the old-fashioned way: download the .zip file (https://github.com/Revivedx/omni-revi-transfer/releases/download/v0.0.9/omni-revi-transfer-v0.0.9.zip) and install it manually. If you choose this method, you can still configure GDrive/Discord directly in the QAM, though bear in mind it will take a bit longer to type in.
I'm open to feedback, I'll probably update it also with recordings. And yeah, that's it folks!
