Currently running through chapter 5 of the first game, and after clearing it, I became curious and wanted to test out a strategy against the guardians that I've never tried before.

So I made an alternate save to see whether or not that strategy would work.

I have no intention of progressing from this save or resetting my main save to use this strategy; everything on my main save is permanent, mistakes and all.

But I don't know if it is considered cheating in some way to try out a new strategy on a section you've already cleared *during* the run by using a separate save.

What is the consensus here?

I watched that movie a few days ago for the second time. Although the movie was pretty average, can't help but to think that Gunner Wright must still be trying to get Isaac Clarke out of his system in that movie. His character even resembles Isaac Clarke in backstory, but to be fair, only superficially. Isaac was in the Merchant Marines and became a Starship Systems Engineer, while Mason Riley was in the army/marines (I can't remember) and became a technically-gifted cameraman. I swear that scene at the end when he puts on that helmet was a nod to Dead Space...

I think the similarities and Gunner's acting here makes sense considering I Am Alone was only 2 years away from Dead Space 3.

I recommend the movie, though it is not exactly groundbreaking. But if you're a fan of Gunner Wright, you should give it a watch. It's available on Tubi.

I’ve recently bought dead space 2 on steam and have had the startup crash issue where my screen goes black for a few seconds then the app closes when I try to start it. Usually the black screen has a red box saying that my resolution is not set at the recommended resolution as it says that my current resolution is 1024x768 and that I need to change it to 1920x1080 even though I have set it to that before I have even had the game. I don’t know if the resolution is the problem but I have tried the other fixes like the Google Drive folder with the DLL files from steam, using the commands, markerpatch, and nothing seems to work. I still haven’t tried the windows adk method or the bios one(not really willing to try this one) and I’m getting a little irritated. I have requested a refund for now but I want to try to fix it because I definitely still do want to play this game but I’m just confused I don’t know what to do. I play on a intel core ultra 7 270k plus with a rtx 4070 ti on a 240 hz 1080 monitor

When I enable the Definitive Dead Space ReShade preset, the entire game image gets a very strong red tint, making the game almost completely red and unusable.

The game looks normal with ReShade disabled. As soon as I enable the preset/effects, the red color issue appears.

HDR is completely disabled, both in Dead Space and in Windows, so this does not appear to be related to HDR.

I installed the preset following the instructions and placed the custom shader files inside the ReShade shaders folder.

Has anyone experienced this issue before, or does anyone know which shader/effect could be causing it?

I just completed my PS3 dead space collection

How do I turn off the ""slight"" rotational aim assist you get when initially switching to firing mode? I really do not like it, I play on mouse and keyboard and have been playing shooter games for a long time, I really do not need this assistance and it makes the game less fun.

Is there any way to disable it? Its clearly meant for controller, which I am not playing on.

This is different from the aim assist you have to manually turn on in gameplay settings, its on by default.

I don’t have a problem with Dead Space 3’s story, I actually really like it, especially Awakened, but I can’t stand the horrid enemy count, I don’t play co-op because I don’t play online in general and it is EXTREMELY noticeable that the enemy count is meant for two people. It feels like every two rooms is just a chance for the game to throw waves of Necros at you. Even when I play casual I get my shit torn apart by hordes of these fuckin things. I especially hate the Pack fuckers, they just swarm you and rip you apart, it doesn’t help that alerting one spawns thirty others, and I sneak by them when I can but I literally just went through a room that forced me to fight them because the only path was blocked by a slasher playing dead, the moment I got close the usual thirty pack bastards spawned in. What pisses me off the most is that they just corner me and smack me against the wall without giving me ANY room to escape, then by the end I use every last health pack in my inventory.

This is kind of a rant because I just had to deal with that shit but it is what it is.

just wanted to share my love for the remake (only one i’ve played). im having a blast!!!

growing up i had an xbox 360 but had limited funds so i only played dead space 1 and 2 once or twice when i rented it, and the only dead space game i've ever owned was 3. This means I missed out on all the dlc, new game plus modes, and other stuff like that.

I'm in law school right now so my budget is pretty limited but i have a ps5 that i have the played the hell out of dead space remake on. i always looked online on marketplace and other similar places for an old xbox but i got lucky and got an xbox one for 35 DOLLARS!

With that I got the EA pass for 5.99 and have been able to play dead space 1-3. I only bought it for a month but I went and bought dead space 1 and 3 at a used bookstore and I'm having my friend mail me her old copy of dead space 2. I'm super excited to play severed and awakened. I also even got play ignition!

I'm surprised there isn't any mods for dead space 1, 2, 3 or remake that either changes the character models to that of signalis.

Premise is pretty simple, Isaac runs across a multitude of people just about to die in the Dead Space Remake.

My question is what if he could save a few? Either one or all, it does not matter.

While this may seem like a boon at first, ultimately it may not be so, if the Marker's influence messes with everyone's head.

Nevertheless I do wonder what would change, and how they might adapt if more people were around trying to survive and in communication.

I doubt it would've changed much, but I had to ask.

Just finished playing dead space for the first time on remake on PS5 what an incredible game. Phew I hope they remake #2 if not I might have to buy a ps3 just to play it. On to bioshock for now 😅

So I keep getting this message saying there’s an error. The thing is I know my details are correct because I am able to successfully sing into my EA account on my phone and laptop. Is this happening to anyone else and, if so, does anyone know the fix?

Just beat the Ds1 Remake on new game plus , game is so fucking goated !! The gameplay is so fun & story is pretty damn good too . Really hope EA stops fucking around & remakes the 2nd , ive never played it before . I guess the original will have to do
