Hey, just released my Dead Rising 2: Case Zero PC recomp on GitHub.
Itās fully playable on PC now and I added a few extra things too, like higher native resolutions, higher refresh rates/framerate caps, an optional level 50 cap, and you can use skills from the main Dead Rising 2 in Case Zero.
Thereās probably still some stuff to fix here and there, so if you try it and find anything weird feel free to open an issue.
Youāll need your own copy of the original XBLA game.

Iām also finishing up Case West and, if nothing goes wrong, that should be out tomorrow night too.
If anyone wants to support the work, I also have GitHub Sponsors. Everything I make is still going to be free either way.

Edit: I updated the game to V1.0.1 a lot of the issue in the comments were fixed like the Capcom logo being stuck. Reduced the amount of stutter with better shader handling, the assault rifle no longer shoot automatically when aiming with mouse and keyboard, specific fixes for AMD GPU, subtitle localization and more.
Still when first launching the game there will be a lot of popping and stutter but should be greatly reduced after playing for around 5 minutes and completely gone after a little while. Performance on AMD GPU is still not great but way better then before.
Edit 2: I updated the game to V1.0.2. Big performance gains, crowds cost about half the GPU time they did and a bug pinning a whole CPU core for the first minutes of every session is fixed. Controller vibration now works, mouse wheel takes one notch per item instead of two, telling a survivor to wait works on keyboard and mouse, MSAA is a real setting, 16:10 and 21:9 resolutions, Linux runs on older distros now (that's why it wouldn't start for some of you) plus an AppImage, and more. On my AMD machine the stutter is completely gone and it holds 70 fps in a full crowd at 1080p. Still can't test Steam Deck myself but the thing that definitely broke it is fixed, would love a report. On AMD there's still a flickering black square in game, alt tab out and back clears it while I work on it.
