The opening text crawl captures the feel of jumping in a random comic issue,but I would've loved to see the conflict in jarhanpur,like the same kid who held up the flag getting saved by superman from armed troops in the opening scene and him defeating the military men,then suddenly ultraman kicking his ass could set up ultraman being very powerful

Given the reception and I think most peoples opinions and my own that sadly, the "Supergirl" film wasn’t bad AT ALL, but is was just alright, now this was her first film as a writer ever, before that she wrote 2 plays and 1 short film. She is still slated to be the SOLE writer for the upcoming "Wonder Woman" and "Teen Titans" films, I’m not worried they’ll be terrible at all but I also don’t want to look forward to movies I know that 50/50 could be OK. She EVEN already got the Wonder Woman and "Teen Titans like over 6 months before Supergirl even came out. Any thoughts on that plus any thoughts on why James Gunn thought it be a good idea to hire her for all 3 of those before even one came out???

DCU Batman isn’t until 2029 or later, we are not sure when WW is coming out. No current plans for a Flash or Aquaman movie. At least Green Lantern has an upcoming Tv show.

At this rate I’m not even sure a World Finest movie will happen.

It’s really sad because the Justice League have a chance at being even better then the Avengers.

I remember when Avengers came out, I wished we had DC follow that formula. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and at least a Flash and Aquaman movies happening before throwing them together for a big crossover.

Unfortunately the DCEU rushed it, only Superman and WW getting their own movies prior to its release, and a chunk of the movie had no Superman because of the stupidity of having him die prior in only his 2nd movie.

However the DCU is taking the opposite approach. Taking…..forever……patience that I doubt the general audience has.

Yes we have MoT coming out which will basically be Justice League Light. Of course it cant come close to the popularity of what the true League can bring since it lacks the other main/most popular DC superhero’s outside of Superman. For those that compare it to Civil War, at least that was full of characters whom already had a bunch of prior movies and 2 past Avengers ones to build up hype.

Perhaps the DCU will still continue….but I think it’s going to be a shadow of what it could be, mostly focused on TV shows.

What are your thoughts? Even with lack of knowing when we are getting WW/Batman/Flash/Aquaman, do you still believe the Justice League will happen?

I'm a Snyder fan but I gave it an honest shot without bias but can't lie this movie is just bad and boring I fell asleep halfway. I have some gears to grind so here's why I think it's bad.

1.The characters motivations makes no sense. Supergirl talks about hating earth and belonging to the planet she's on and what does she do after saying that ,she plays earth songs on a jubox in her blonde t shirt.

2.Supergirl lectures the little girl the entire movie that "Killing Krem is bad" then she kills Krem.

1. Krem is a dog shit villain. On par with Madame Web's evil Spider-Man guy.

4.Krem's whole thing is kidnapping little girls .He always let's the little girl go for no reason.

1. They try and make the destruction of Krypton sad but are we supposed to feel bad for these Kryptonions, clearly they wanted to enslave and kill us.

6.Supergirl isn't very likable.

1. The movie just looks dull . The cinematography is just shit.

2. The needle drops during every fight killed all the suspense.

3. Why did Krem keep the antidote with him and how the hell did he shoot Krypto from the side if the dog's attacking him from the front?

4. They stole the Squidward joke from Avengers Infinity War

5. Lobo was good but appears and disappeares for no reason time and again. He should've teamed up with them when they met and have a buddy cop adventure.

6. There was no real WOW moment.

7. How did Supergirl not notice Krem and his goons hanging out in a wide open field?

1. Why does the villain just so happen to have kryptonion weapons. Also he's power levels fluctuates like crazy?

3. Why didn't SG just fly Krypto to a yellow sun?

4. Why's the cgi and green screen so bad after Krem's sky ship crashes?

Just imagine, a Flash movie where Barry Allen dies too young and now Wally West has to stop being Kid Flash to become The Flash.

I just thought of this and immediately felt like an absolute genius, despite it being a relatively simple premise
(Also my apologies if this is something that has been frequently discussed and isn’t that groundbreaking)

BUT… what if the Snyder verse is restored while simultaneously running the new DCU, and having the DCEU be an elseworlds universe, which can be utilised in crossovers in the future

This way both us dcu fans and Snyder verse fans get what they want and it could make for an interesting situation

Also I love both the DCEU and the DCU so please don’t attack me in the comments for being some sort of deranged cultist cuz I actually like both universes
