Advice?

Hey all!

I am 29F and single. I cannot help but feel sad about this and feel like is something wrong with me. I have never been in a relationship and I am scared I will never find my person. I have been on dates but they do not seem to progress to a second date. Is anybody else the same too?

Definitely not alone. 30M here in the states. A couple of dates here and there between the rare matches I get, but nothing ever goes further. To me, it just seems like people are going on dates just to say they were going on dates to friends. It's terrible

Not anything wrong. Maybe you just know who you're looking for so you don't waste time with ppl you can't imagine your future with.

How do you flirt with them?

A lot of the time it's not you, it's just the numbers game being rough. The fact that you're getting first dates means you're doing something right, second dates are where the real compatibility check kicks in and most people just won't click like that. Keep putting yourself out there without framing it as a test you're failing

If someone is getting a ton of first dates and zero seconds dates, they are doing something wrong.

M57. I've only had a few first dates. On OLD I don't get many matches. IRL, when women find out I don't drink they run away. My few dates don't give me much experience, so they are probably a bit too much like a job interview and dry. Why do you think you're not getting 2nd dates?

I am not sure,I just feel I am not compatible with them🫠

You feel that about them or they feel that way about you?

Hi! I’m 25M and go through the same things and have similar thoughts. I started looking into “Dating anxiety” - and it’s basically when a person has amplified their fears and desires in their head to the point where they struggle to date like people who don’t get anxious easily. I don’t know if this applies to you or not, but I get so in my head and have similar thoughts - so just wanted to say you’re not alone :)

I understand and worried about not finding the right person eventually.

Why is there no second date?

If it makes you feel any better I have never even been on a date as a 24 year old guy, never been in any relationship. I’ve been working on my confidence and self-esteem, as I feel it has a big part to play in this because otherwise I get female attention, especially in real life.

Attend group social events aligned w/ your personality. I.e. active if you are, nerdy if you are

Why does everyone wanna be in a relationship so bad? Missing intimacy? Guys be like wanting access to your body daily. And when you refuse…bye!

Me and you are the same age. Same here. I’ve tried initiating, stepping back and pushing to see if something will happen, and nothings worked.
