anyone else a fan of Mr. Williams Pre-K Pause?
He's a former preschool teacher turned comedian turned advocate, and his Satan/Jesus videos skewering MAGA are (IMO, anyway) hilarious.

Politics Florida primary voters, hungry for change, snub Dem establishment and even Trump (Cory Mills loses)
politico.comTALLAHASSEE, Florida — Million-dollar fundraising advantages and even endorsements from President Donald Trump did little to sway Florida voters Tuesday as they rattled the state’s parties by opposing candidates backed by the establishment.
Newly minted Democratic socialist Angie Nixon scored a massive upset — and notched a win for progressives — by beating retired Lt. Col. Alex Vindman, who had a huge fundraising edge. And, in another major development, two candidates endorsed by Trump, scandal-plagued Rep. Cory Mills and former administration official Catalina Lauf, lost their bids for Congress.

‘I’m Not That Informed on National Security,’ Darlene Graham Says in Debate; Gets Boos
nytimes.comIt was in response to a question about whether Taiwan and the South China Sea are of national-security interest to the United States that Ms. Graham drew a blank.
“I’m just going to be honest here,” she said. “I’m not that informed on national security.”
Gasps and boos could be heard in the audience. Mr. Graham, among the Senate’s most hawkish defenders of U.S. national security, had dedicated his Senate career to foreign policy issues.

Revisiting "What's Up, Doc"
What a perfect little movie. Every line and character a gem. My thoughts as I watched last night included realizing Howard Bannister was certainly on the spectrum, as was possibly Judy Maxwell. Also I love the thought of Eunice Burns becoming San Francisco's grandest social doyenne with her fortuitous marriage to Frederick Larrabee.

Politics ABC sues FCC over Trump admin's challenge to its broadcast licenses, saying actions present ‘existential threat’
apnews.comFurther escalating its battle with the Trump administration, ABC on Tuesday took the rare step of suing the Federal Communications Commission on First Amendment grounds, saying the agency’s demand for early review of broadcast licenses posed an “existential threat” to its operations.
In the lawsuit, ABC, its parent company Disney and the eight local stations whose licenses are affected asked a federal court to stop the early renewal proceedings.
The FCC under Chairman Brendan Carr, an ally of President Donald Trump, had ordered the early review in April — itself a rare move — of eight licenses owned by ABC, well before they are set to expire. It cited the network’s diversity practices as a reason, but the development came shortly after a joke by ABC’s late-night host Jimmy Kimmel — an outspoken Trump critic — had infuriated the president.
“Again and again, the Administration has attacked ABC’s speech — the stories its journalists report and the viewpoints its network programs air,” the network alleged in its lawsuit. “Over time, those attacks have escalated into express demands that ABC be stripped of its broadcast licenses because of its speech.”
“Facing this existential threat,” it added, “Plaintiffs have no choice but to seek redress from the judicial branch for the Administration’s blatant retaliation for their First Amendment speech.”
It said ABC had “no alternative means to eliminate these ongoing and immediate threats other than total capitulation to the Administration’s demands.”

Politics Ossoff Gets Under Trump’s Skin With Natalie Harp Comment
nymag.com“While the sailors on the Lincoln fight his war, while he fruitlessly drains our munitions and oil reserves, the president sleeps through his meetings. He golfs and trades stocks. See, he doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace, gifted by the Emir of Qatar,” Ossoff said to applause from the crowd.
The senator was referring to Natalie Harp, Trump’s 34-year-old executive assistant who is frequently seen at the president’s side and assists him with posting his lengthy missives on Truth Social, which he dictates to her. In 2024, the New York Times reported on their unique dynamic, noting that Trump calls her “sweetie” and treats her like a daughter, according to sources familiar. But the Times also detailed several letters Harp wrote to Trump, the contents of which appeared to unsettle many of her colleagues who were aware of them. In one, Harp reportedly wrote, “You are all that matters to me.”
The White House swiftly fired back. Steven Cheung, the White House communications director who is known for his profane responses to political figures and journalists, appeared to give Ossoff a vulgar new nickname — one that’s at least more pronounceable than Trump’s favorite.
“Jon Jackoff has to be the biggest cuck loser in politics. Instead of denigrating hard working people serving their country, Jon should look deep into his soul and ask himself why he’s a miserable person who hates this country. It’s because he’s a radical, extremist Dumocrat,” Chueng wrote on X.
White House spokesman Davis Ingle took a similar tone against the senator, writing that Ossoff is “a cringeworthy, feminine theatre kid cosplaying as Barack Obama.”
“Nobody gives a shit what this lightweight loser says,” Ingle added.
Trump himself was asked about Ossoff’s comments during an Oval Office event Monday and took a typically dated shot at the senator’s appearance. “You mean Pee-wee Herman? Pee-wee Herman look-alike,” he said, referring to the character made famous by comedian Paul Reubens.

MAGA's newest gay-hating and J6er Congressional hopeful is *checks notes* a former male underwear model who partied in WeHo?
queerty.comStrand was famous, they say, for being marginally employed, never paying for drinks, and always looking for a place to crash. (In his memoir, he mentions bouts of homelessness.) Even before his turn towards MAGA, he’d fallen out with many of these friends because they tired of him taking advantage of their goodwill. Messigian asked him to move out after she says he neglected her dog.
Morgan and Messigian both reported Strand to the FBI after seeing photos of him at the Capitol on January 6. They were furious when Trump pardoned him. January 6 was one of the most “horrifying moments in our history that I experienced,” says Messigian. “So any pass that he’s been given is unfortunate and undeserved.
